Enjoying an old fashioned with a cigar tonight
I love a good old fashioned. What bourbon do you use in yours?
I've been lazy lately and using the pre-made one from Buffalo Trace lately and adding in an orange peel. It's really good for a pre-made mix.

Anyone have trouble aiming with their lab putter? Maybe it's just me, but my distance control seems to be on point with it and I rarely have any 3 putts now but I'm always just a few inches left or right of the hole. May just need more practice but I was curious if I was the only one

Mid to upper 90 temps and I'm still chugging along with my MotoCaddy however an umbrella is a must. MotoCaddy might want to add an umbrella with their name on it as an accessory.
If you go to the main menu on their website there is a picture of one under the accessories tab, but I don't see it available to purchase. It may only be available in the UK for now.

I guess I had it loaded a little too top heavy yesterday between the water jug, umbrella, phone and training aids in my bag. Somehow managed to flip it over going across the cart path when I wasn't paying attention and the handle dragged across. I think I'm going to install some sort of anti tip wheel myself to prevent this from happening again.

Actually got in another round today without charging it and its about 2/3 dead now. But thank God for these things when it is 95 and humid. It really saved me today. I could tell me buddy with a regular push cart was struggling.

So quick update on the battery life during storage. I had the cart stored in my truck in SoCal heat for the last few weeks as I have been travelling for work and unable to play much. The rounds I did play I rode in a cart as I am playing in a friendly tournament tomorrow and will be riding so wanted to get that rhythm back. So few weeks of storage at full battery in the heat. I took it out yesterday and plugged it in to see what the battery life looked like after a few weeks of no use and it was still at 100%. Top notch batteries!
Same here, I've been unable to play for a least a couple weeks and my battery hasn't gone down at all either. Even before that I haven't charged it since my last round with it a little over 3 weeks ago. Really impressive battery life!

Of all of the contests that I have seen so far, either the Titleist open bag or the taylormade open contest mostly because it come with 6 dozen golf balls and a set of woods. Can't ever be upset about winning anything though

Dad style, I like it.
And I am glad that I am not the only one that does not read the instructions.
Lol yeah I've always been a fan of just winging it, but in this case it seemed like a perfect opportunity to see how fool proof it really is.

how are those UTHER balls? I saw an ad for them somewhere.
I doubt I'll actually get to hit them. Pretty sure my wife just wanted them because they had donuts on them lol. I'll try to steal a sleeve this weekend and let you know though.

The other question to ask is what is your iron set makeup? Do you already go all the way to the 11 iron (gap wedge)? Personally I'd try to spend a little time with each iron you play and figure out what distances they are going. After that you can look at the top end of he bag and plot out what distances you want to fill between your longest iron and your driver. If you are hitting it farther you might only have 1-2 clubs that fill a needed gap there. Then you can look at the bottom end of the bag and figure out what distances you want a full swing to go and then it's just a matter to finding the lofts that will fit that distance.
I don't think I heard this said yet either, but make sure it wasn't a one shot only type of situation, and that it wasn't hotter than normal and down wind.
From the sounds of it though I'll just add congrats on the new found distance, and a preemptive congrats on the new woods and/or wedges you will be getting
You are kind of right, i did have one shot with my 6 iron that was slightly downhill and down wind that flew 220 and that's when I figured I might have a problem with my distance. Luckily there were plenty of rational responses, which is honestly surprising that more people didn't encourage buying new clubs haha
Thanks for the input. I definitely plan on trying to get on a launch monitor soon to nail down exact distances before i decide which end of the bag to go after.

Thanks for the responses everyone
I probably was over reacting a bit and with yalls help ended up answering my own question in a way. Probably going to have to end up just getting a wedge fitting to get the bottom part of the bag to fit in with my new iron distances.
So good news I get to go check out this year's line up of wedges!

Are you just hitting them longer or is the dispersion starting to get wonky? If they are just longer it's not that big a deal so long as your gapping and dispersion remains consistent - you'll have to consider whether or not to create a bigger gap in the upper part of your bag to add a more lofted wedge at some point.
I'd be cautious about over reacting - that's for certain.
I hope that helps a bit.
You are probably right and my dispersion is actually getting better. I just got a little worried when I was hitting my 6 iron around 210-215 this past weekend. I just thought it was too far for that club. It just makes it harder for me because my wedges are the worst part of my game so when I have to pull them out more things tend to start going down hill. That's why my first thought was for irons.
Thanks for the help

If they are I'm kind of inclined to say congrats on your newfound distance, and maybe instead you need to look at the top end of your bag if that 4 iron has shrunk the gap to your hybrid/fairway end of things...maybe new sticks there rather than new irons. Just a thought.
Everything seems to be good there as far as gapping and spin. I already go from 5 iron to hybrid so maybe adding another wood could be an option.
Thanks for the response

Hi spies,
Forgive me if someone has already asked this question before, but I am having trouble right now with hitting my irons too far. The lofts on them are fairly strong, but worked for me when I was fitted for them back in the fall. The problem is that I have gotten back in to working out and am now hitting my clubs about 10 to 15 yards longer on average. So would I need to get refitted for irons or would just having someone weaken the lofts around 2 degrees be a better option. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Also lofts of my irons are below if that helps.

Got out for 18 this morning and was getting a ton of compliments today. People seem to really like the bag a lot and had quite a few people make jokes about me chasing the cart. Now that it's getting hot outside I can really tell the difference using the M5 vs having to push my other cart. It's going to help out a lot with those middle of the summer rounds when it's 100 degrees and humid.
I was really glad to have the accessory pack with me today. I was able to using the phone holder to take some videos of my swing. Only negative thing that I can say is that I hit a big bump and my water bottle flipped over. Not a big deal because it was closed, but I'm hoping that once I get the xl cup holder on there maybe that will weight it down more to where that won't happen. Still really loving the cart though

Just some quick feedback on the cup holders. The XL cupholders are due in today (to me at least, not sure about the other testers). One thing I noticed is that the way the cup holder attaches to the accessory kit needs to be redesigned. The cup holder just hangs off a small knob so it allows the cup holder to rotate around the knob. That is why you cannot put anything top heavy in the cup holder or it will rotate around and spill out the contents. I assume the design premise is that it should be heavy at the bottom but over rough terrain I can see the cup holder spinning too much, especially with a larger cup. Will follow up with comparisons once the XL cup holder arrives but overall seems the attachment mechanism should be redesigned for future models.
I kind of thought the same thing. Curious to see if there is a difference with the XL cup.

I'm surprised that I haven't seen more about these lately. Considering how good their driver line has been this year I definitely will be trying this one out. Not saying that I have been a bit influenced by TXG, but they definitely got me interested lol.
Did you try out any of their drivers this year?
