SuperDave
I'm finally getting control of my driver and want to which to a urethane golf ball for more spin and stopping ability on the greens. Of course, Titleist ProV1 is the "#1" ball on the market but extremely pricey. I've read a lot about MG and Vice golf balls and how they compare to Prov1's and read their reviews. I trust you guys and would like to know if anyone has tried either of these and what they think. If there's been a review here I don't know about, let me know. Thank you. SuperDave
Snell looks promising. I'll have to get a dozen of all 3 balls and give them a test. Probably come down to which one I lose the fewest of. Sent from my SM-G920V using MyGolfSpy mobile app
Kanoito
I believe quality-wise, they should be very comparable. Then it comes down to pricing. I personally still lose 2-3 balls per round, so the cheapest option serves my purpose. My current choice are lakeballs, whatever is on sale. Last time got 200 TM Penta for about $1.5 each in AAAA grade. jbil8802
I played the MG for a while. It was decent for the price. Snell MTB is my gamer now. Slightly better than the MG in terms of spin and distance. Don't notice a difference between it and a Pro V1X. mdumble21
It's great to know that there are companies that specialise in making golf balls comparable to the Big Boys - Titliest, Bridgestone, etc. - for a lower price point. Once I've used all my current stockpile of Pro V1s, I'll definitely try out the Snell, Vice and other similar products. On a side note, there are websites that offer AAA-rated golf balls - Pro V1s, ChromeSofts, B330s, etc. - for about a third of the price. The website I used was LostGolfBalls.com (the Aussie version). jayjay0808
I've seen a lot of ads for VIce and they have me interested. The reviews seem really good as well for such reasonable priced ball. Sadly I just picked up 6 dozen Srixon XV for the price of 3. PlaidJacket
I can vouche for the MG Tour C4 and the Snell MTB. Both excellent balls. Can't say for the Vice as I haven't played them. For the money I'd choose the MG C4 at $19.95. I play them off and on all the time. For me personally I can't see a difference between them and more expensive balls. The Snell is an excellent choice also.. just more expensive. Another good choice is the Chrome Soft. ~$37/dz. Love them. If I had to choose one ball and one ball only forever I'd probably pick the Snell MTB.
