StrokerAce
Okay - I'm a total noob at this so bear with me. I ordered a callaway adapter for a shaft. The adapter size is .370 and the shaft tip OD is .335. I'm hoping to bring this to PGASS and have them install it. Can they install it even though the diameters are different? Did I mess up and order the wrong size adapter? Kenny B
A .335 shaft is for driver and some fairway woods for most OEMs. A .370 shaft is for most hybrids. As far as I know, OEMs have different adapters and adjustments for the hybrids than the woods. What's it for? If driver or FW, then I would get the correct size adapter. I'm not sure that an OEM hybrid adapter would fit anything but their hybrids anyway. Can it be done, yes. Can PGASS do it, no idea. I'm not sure why you would want to. A .335 shaft in a hybrid would be whippy and launch high. cnosil, StrokerAce and BH43 3 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
dlow206
I would not try to put a 0.370 adapter on a 0.335. Get the right size adapter. McGolf
short answer is you got the worng size. I did that on purpose Shims come in 370-400, 355 -370 335 - 350 and some 400. Could it be done, Yes but at great risk to the head being dislodged. you would be much happier and at ease if you used the 335 adapter. Oh and the 370 adapter is shorter and wont fit in the driver.
