Ping g400max driver question

In searching for a new driver I noticed Ping web site is still listing the g400max driver.  This driver is several model is several (two or three) models old.  Is that driver that popular?  Who is it geared more for?

Ping rarely discounts their products so they tend to have a lot of New/Old stock clubs. The 400 was not an unpopular driver, but it was really the 410 that took off, most likely due to the distance ratings it received in the MGS Most Wanted list. You can get a 400 on the used market for a quite reasonable price, but the 410's are still fetching premium prices new or used.

Per OEM marketing material:  Ping G400 Max Drivers are ideal for higher handicap players, looking for the most forgiveness available on the market.

 

The various drivers are personal preference;  I have the 400 max in my bag and love it even though I am a lower handicap player.   I don't see a lot of improvement in newer drivers so no reason for me to switch.
