RollingGreens
Thinking about purchasing a PRGR Launch monitor to use in the range and short practice sessions at home. I’ve read some of the previous posts more so regarded during the super speed training forum. What’s the overall consensus? I haven’t read too many negatives outside of it occasionally being difficult to get the right distance for setup purposes. All info is appreciated!! GolfSpy_APH
I think it's decent. It's a get what you pay for type deal, but does the trick for Ball Speed and swing speed. Ask for carry I'd say it's okay, not amazing but again for the price worth it. I can't say I used wedges and short game so that part i can't really say but the rest i would say a sound device sirchunksalot and RollingGreens 2 Quote as of Nov 6, 2023 (Past WITB) Driver: Paradym TD w/ GD ADDI 6X Driver Shootout! RollingGreens
Does anyone know if the ball affects the readings in the PRGR? A range ball vs a premium. I looked Up the algorithm and did a quick google search as well and it sounds like it might hit their wasn’t a consensus Quote Stealth 2 Plus 9deg Kai' li Red Stealth 2 13deg Aldilla Rogue Silver Stealth 2 15deg Aldilla Rogue Silver JPX 921 Hot Metal 4-PW Nippon Modus 120s SM8 54 and 58deg Dynamic Gold Wedge Flex Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Titleist ProV1 Hoofer Stand Bag Stewart Q Follow Electric Caddie 300 PRO Rangefinder Official Nippon Regio B+ Driver Shaft Review Official Stewart Q Follow Review

A range ball is going to spin more and have slower balls speeds so it should be a difference. RollingGreens 1 Quote as of Nov 6, 2023 (Past WITB) Driver: Paradym TD w/ GD ADDI 6X Driver Shootout! AndySP
It’s just tracking club and ball speed for initial flight and calculating a carry based on an algorithm. The only difference it would calculate between different balls would be through speed. In my experience it’s not great at giving carry numbers, but really shines for tracking speed. Plus, its small enough to quickly check in on the course and at the range without any significant set-up. My basement is well-lit but not daylight-bright. The carry distance numbers are way off, but the club head speed and ball speed are right on, as compared to my R-Motion PC simulator and its iPhone app. Wish I could solve the distance discrepancy, but maybe it needs more sunlight on a range.....when it gets warmer! That said, my need is to chart how far I hit each club. I thought the PRGR would do it, but so far, no. It is too cold to go to the range, so there's still hope. Otherwise, I'll have to measure it out/backwards with my gps on the golf course this spring. You'd think, with all our tech, there's be a simple distance tracking device or program. I never found my PRGR to be accurate for distance. It could be the balls I was using on the range. I use it for SS only as a way to judge if I'm making progress* in improving my swing speed. . I also found that it was highly inaccurate on short game shots - with anything higher in loft than a PW. * note PRGR monitors were part of the SuperSpeed Official Test and were solely used for that purpose (swing speed) DejaGolf 1 Quote Left Hand orientation SIM 2 D Max with Fujikura Air Speeder Shaft Cobra Radspeed 3W/RIptide Shaft 410 Hybrids 22*, 26* Cobra Speed Zone 6-GP/Recoil ESX 460 F3 Shafts SM7 54* Wedge Glide 3.0 60* Wedge O Works putter V3 NX9-HD - 4 Wheel EZGO TXT 48v cart - too many shoes to list and so many to buy And BAG Boy Golf Balls: Vice Pro Plus 2020 Official Tester Beginning Driver Speed - 78 2019 Official Tester 410 Driver 2018 Official Tester C300
