Today I shot the best in several weeks.  Chipping and putting saved me (as usual).

image.png.3cbc17e4649f3fbb04ca866ec54f1578.png

Five up and downs.  I was a little higher in greens in regulation and I only missed one fairway.  Then again, when your drives are 170-180, it's a little easier to hit them (even though the fairways are pretty narrow on our course).  My pitching and chipping was on.  At one point I had nine 1 putt greens in a row without a green in regulation.  In that streak, I almost chipped in twice (left on the edge).

My course handicap dropped to 6 after last week's round!

Played really well today, 16 of 18 GIR, had several makable birdie putts today but only converted 2. Really nice to be able to get a round in before the arctic blast comes through.

But our cold weather will only last for a few days this weekend and then temps will be back in the 70s by Thursday next week. Nice to live in Houston🌞

Enjoyable pre Christmas round. Played pretty solid apart from a couple of mental errors, you’d think after 30 tears of playing I would have learned that changing my mind on the downswing doesn’t work😂

Had several putts that looked good that didn’t quite drop, but generally pleased with how I played.

Another solid round except for the last I was -1 gross on the 18th tee. Never shot under par in my life. 18th is 140yd par 3 with OB over the back. Bunkered off the tee catches 2nd heavy OB then chip and 2 putts for a triple bogey 6. Argh!!!

BRRRRRR it was cold, rainy and windy yesterday in Florida. Nothing like what the rest of the country was feeling, but for us in Florida - yikes, very unpleasant. The majority of my men's group decided to call it quits at the turn, but since I was having a half decent front I decided to persevere with my partner and finish. I was driving the ball well except for #9 were I went OB and finished with a double for a 44 on the front. On the back I launched one into the water - darn another penalty! But ended up with a double on that par 5. If I can only eliminate the big numbers - that's my wish for the upcoming new year!

Nice round Foz!

Thinking about dropping my Plantation Palms membership and joining Silverado. Both same distance from home(8 miles) but Silverado is $1,600 less for full membership. I played the white tees at Silverado as they are an 11 Hcap and the gold tees at Plantation are 11 Hcap. However, I play Silverado quite a bit better.
