Thanks @Shrek74!  I've tried the Snell & Vice as compared to the VeroX1 and I still go back to the VeroX1.  I'm still amazed & impressed at the performance of the VeroX1 in the cold weather.

I like the ProV1 as well @GregB135 and do still play it.  However, when the weather gets cold, I don't like the feel of the ball.  Agree with you about the Elixr, I didn't like the feel either.  I'll also play the TaylorMade Striped ball.  I think it's a bit firmer than the VeroX1 and it's also more expensive.  OnCore has good pricing!

I keep going back and forth between the X1 and ProV1. For the most part they are similar. Performance off the driver is similar, the X1 still flies a little lower for me. With irons though, especially short irons, it seems like the X1 is shorter.

I did pick up a Performance Pack in my last order, and I was VERY pleased with the way the new/yet to be released for sale Xp performed.

OnCore's ball fitter suggestion for me was the Elixr, but I just don't like the feel of that one.

I saw that performance pack thing not long ago and almost went for it. I think I've given up on the X1 at this point. It's fine but I think I'm stuck on ProV1x for a while. I am curious about the Xp though. Maybe we will have a forum test come up and I can get a feel for how they perform compared to the latest balls from the premium (based on cost) brands.

Posting an update on the OnCore Vero X1 golf ball.
MGS has done such a great job with Testing Opportunities, including golf ball testings.  Last year I was chosen to test the OnCore Vero X1 golf ball, first MGS testing opportunity.  I'll admit, I learned a lot about the golf ball from that testing, from the feel to the sound, to the balls reaction hitting the green.  All that stuff you may take for granted in a golf ball.

I purposely stopped using the Vero X1 ball for the past two months, after getting fitted for new irons & putting the new irons into play.  I went back to playing the Pro V1 & Pro V1x golf balls. During the Titleist iron & wedge fitting, the Titleist Rep did a golf ball fitting and determined the Pro V1x was the best fit.

The photo below are some of the golf balls used over the last two months - Pro V1, Pro V1x, TP5x & Srixon Z Star.  There were a couple of Pro V1x golf balls that didn't make the photo, they went for a swim 🤣 & one Pro V1x went WAY OB.  I've used two Srixon Z Star XV balls, and after using the Z Star for two rounds, I noticed a hairline crack in the ball. This is the second time the Srixon Z Star developed a hairline crack. I like the ball, but will probably no longer use the Srixon ball, I'm not that powerful to crack a golf ball.

Back to the OnCore Vero X1 ball.  I put a new ball in play today, for the first time since May and I was impressed with the ball once again.  The feel of the ball off the club, whether the club was a Driver, iron or Wedge.  The feel of the ball off the putter was very good and the ball rolled well on freshly mown & rolled greens.

As for distance - I'm finding the Vero X1 comparable, to both the Pro V1 balls.  I found no loss in distance off the tee, with the driver for the OnCore Vero X1 Ball vs the Pro V1 or V1x.  Today was my 3rd day in a row playing. So I was loose.  Comparing the the Vero X1 ball to the Pro V1 & V1x drives over the past 3 days on all the Par 5's, all the drives were comparable and ended in the same landing areas. I actually think drives on 2 of the 4 Par 5's went further.  Tee markers were not drastically different.  However, wind was down this morning.   What stuck in my mind, was towards the end of the round on the  Par 4 - 17th hole I had 142yds remaining for my approach, to a back pin and it was to a slightly uphill green (1 degree according to rangefinder).  Hit a solid 9 iron, the Vero X1 ball came off the club nicely, carried onto the second tier of the green to within 7 ft. The ball reacted well hitting the green.

I can say this, The feeling I had about the Vero X1 golf ball after last year's testing is the same, 1 yr later.  I'm impressed with the ball and have confidence in the performance of the ball, whether using the driver, iron play, and especially with chipping.  I still like the sound of the ball off the putter face.  It's not a clunky sound.

Here are many of the golf balls used over the past two months. Some are worn or have cart path logo's (LOL).

I took a 20-second video of the new Vero X1 ball used this morning. It has a couple of scuff marks, but overall the Vero X1 ball held up nicely. I didn't hit any cart paths, was in one bunker, which I think you can see the scuff mark. Overall, the ball held up nicely and could be used for a 2nd round
