Sauce Towels

Hi MGS Troops! I saw this company at the Colorado Golf Expo this year and it intrigued me. So I purchased a towel. Jeff from https://saucegolf.com/ showed me the towel and I thought for the money it was worth a try. @Dead Solid Bogey is checking this towel out too. I bought 3 more after regretting not buying more at the expo. I want to give them as gifts to some of my golfing buddies. The main reason I wanted one is because I lose moisture with my current towel and have to rewet it after 9 holes. I also like the bag feature. I always carry my rain cover so I doubt I'll use it for mine but I can zip it up when it's raining to keep the towel dry. I am playing in Mesquite NV next month and will be able to see how it performs. I'll let you know how it works out. Happy Birdie Hunting!!!

Used the towel Friday and it works great. I did find that I prefer the towel to be folded with the top zipper zipped and the bottom open. The towel still stays wet this way but it’s easier to use with it not zipped like a tube, instead it was zipped like a cover. Next time I’m going to zip it like a tube, but the towel part will be on the inside as well as the outside like this. The inside of the tube will be wet, the outside will be dry.

this is the way I used it on Friday. 

The edges did dry out but the middle and the area by the zipper were still wet. I think I may like the use of it in the first picture because it won’t hang down as far and I’ll be able to wipe the club on the inside wet portion and then dry it on the outside. We shall see how it works. @Dead Solid Bogey how are you liking yours? Happy Birdie Hunting!

The new towels are in. I ordered some so I can give them as gifts. 

I think I’m going to keep the Masters one.

Got mine as well…. First go will be sometime as early as tomorrow to as long as a couple of weeks from now… Will definitely use @Erin B’s adaptation of the cover option as the wet option; just seems more functionally useable in that form.. The 3.0 Master’s version sent as an example of the brightness of color availability and schematic ability for customization is intriguing for possible group swag gifts. The towel out of the bag, appears at first look to be well made and of quality material. We will see how it handles meandering as part of my cart bag out on the course.

UPDATE: The tube format worked great!!! The inside stayed wet the whole time, and the outside was dry.

I like them and for the price they’re worth it. I  modified mine and put a magnet in it. I also gave one to each player on my scramble team. I’m all out now. I need to order more. They make great gifts to a golfer. .

Ok, been a while. I’m in Mesquite this week and the towel stays wet. I love it as a cylinder or tube. 

so easy to use this way.

Rained like hell In Mesquite today and used the towel dry. Worked fantastic as a seat cover and to dry grips. Final review: a must have towel.

For me, the towels do what they say they can do. The only issue ( for me ) an at least one other; is that those having hand / manual dexterity issues might have a problem manipulating the zippers for the various manifestations of the towels. I plan on leaving it as an auxiliary cooler knowing that it can be changed if need be. 
   I agree with @Erin B that the product is well made, especially for the price and that the customer service is stout.

What @Erin B said… The price makes it an easy low cost risk. The owner is great, he will undoubtedly work with you in trying to get you the towel(s). If possible you might want one of the 2.0 and one of the 3.0…. Good Luck and as Erin B is wont to say; Happy birdie hunting….

Well Jeff, from Sauce Golf, has got back to me already which is damn good considering the time difference between him and UK. He is gonna look into costs for getting a towel out to me and hopefully I will be able to put some more business his way once people have seen the towel

I was talking to the company about another project I may do for an annual golf outing I’m now a part of and he told me he’s got someone in the UK lined up. Could that be you?

@Erin B @Dead Solid Bogey My towel eventually showed up today, looks like USPS is comparable to Royal Mail, either that or they sent it by stagecoach and steam ship. 
It looks impressive now it’s here so I’m itching to try it out on the course

Are you still finding the tube set up is the best for on the course?

I switched mine to being used as a secondary cooler at work and on the course. Using the “ Club Scrubber “ to clean balls and clubs. The towel is holding up well, just that my hands have difficulty with the zippers. With the other three people I gave the towel; two of the younger people are using it as a tube and another older individual is using as a cooler like I am. Will be interested in reading how the zipper manipulation goes for you.
