Grade "A" Architecture - The best golf holes from around the world

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

My name is Jack, I'm the editor of Golf Today.

We run an ongoing feature called Grade "A" Architecture, wherein a given hole is highlighted for its overall qualities.

Our experienced features writer, M. James Ward, identifies and profiles holes of noted architectural heft across the world, with the inclusion of many prestigious courses.

Of recent, he has covered:

Lough Erne Resort — Faldo Course, Co. Fermanagh, Enniskillen, Northern Ireland

Bobby Jones Golf Club — Sarasota, Florida, USA

The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe - Santa Fe, USA

As well as:

Augusta National, Georgia — "Behind the Architectural Curtain - 88th Masters"

In this particular two-part series, Golf Today reached out to a distinguished group of practicing architects to weigh in on one of the most watched and revered golf clubs in the world.

Part one / Part two

I appreciate this may not be for everyone, but it's a truly fascinating and insightful series, and I would love for it to reach the right audience. If you are interested in or have ever wondered about golf course architecture, it's well worth a read.

You can also read our collection of architectural pieces here.

Thank you for your time in reading this, I sincerely hope you enjoy our Grade "A" Architecture series.

Jack
