MonBear
After reading the Favorite Driver Shaft thread and seeing that most of the top responses were shafts in the $250-400 range, I thought I would put this out there for the golfers that don't necessarily have the means, or mindset, to shell out that kind of dough for a shaft. As someone who has gotten almost all of their gear on eBay, CPO, or in a BST forum, I would love to hear the suggestions. So, what's your favorite shaft that you can find for under $100-150? Josh Parker
You can find the HZRDUS line under that $150 mark. Aldila or Grafalloy are under and make some good ones. Swood1994
Like others have said the HZRDUS line is good for the price. One of my other go to “off the rack” shafts if you will is the Tensei AV Raw Blue shaft. You can usually pick them up for around $100-$120 and somewhat comparable to the ventus blue non velocore MonBear, rjlam, William P and 3 others 6 Quote Current WITB: Driver: Paradym 10.5 Ventus Black 6S (currently Testing AI Smoke) Fairway: ST-Z 230 3-Wood (15°) HZRDUS Smoke Black 6.0 60 Official Test Hybrid: ST-Z 230 Hybrid (19°) Ventus Blue HB-8 Official Test Irons: MP-18 MMC (4-9) Wedges: Vokey SM8 (46.10F, 50.12F, 54.14F, 58.12D) Putter: Select Squareback 2 34.5 Ping Corded 88G PP58 grip double taped Ball: Pro-V1 Reviews: 2023 Red Rooster Sussex Glove Official Forum Test 2023 Mizuno Long Game Official Forum Test 2024 Skytrak+ Official Forum Test

Hoyoymac
For graphite golf shafts Grafalloy has an excellent budget line of shafts that cover a fairly wide range of golfers. The Grafalloy Blue and the various iterations of it over the years is a proven performer. They are a part of True Temper sports that also owns Project X, Aerotech and ACCRA. Ken Bartley
I bought a Srixon Z757 driver online. It came with a Hzrdus stiff shaft that was no good for my slow swing. I bought an Accuflex Assassin 46" shaft online for $ 39.00 and two Srixon adaptors for $15.00 and put it all together myself. Shaft claims it is the number one shaft on the World Long Drive Champions tour. I was surprised that it was availalbe in a regular flex...lol. It works great for my swing. MulliganMaster
I bought the new G430 10k driver and was fitted with the ping tour chrome x-stiff shaft. It is brand specific but wow is it buttery smooth. During the fitting I felt like it might have been a little too “flexy” but when you have a nice smooth tempo, I feel that it aids in a nice ball flight and draws so nicely in your favor without it being to soft. steelerfan1974
I have a grafalloy red stiff from eBay in a ping g400 3 wood that I love. Also have to agree with previous post about the Hazrdous line. I have a stiff in a Callaway mavrik, and an x stiff smoke low spin in a PXG gen5 0311xf driver. Paid 45 on eBay for the smoke version. 16 on eBay for the grafalloy.
