While it's not the gunmetal you're asking about, I game the Lin-Q Purple in both my driver and 3wood. When getting fitted, it came down to Ventus Black 7x, KBS TD, and the Lin-Q purple. For me, the dispersion was the tightest with the purple and I've loved every swing with both clubs since.

If it's a question as to is the Lin-Q lineup a great shaft? Absolutely.

I started using Pure Grips, DTX model - they’re full rubber, have sensational grip, and can be cleaned with soap/water and look/feel new.

*Disclaimer:  I live in Arizona, play 120+ rounds of golf annually, and have oily skin/sweat heavily in the summer. I normally go through 2 sets of grips/year between rounds and range time, but had been gaming the same set for over a year; I just replaced them recently because a new, obnoxious color came out and I wanted to be…obnoxious.   The only downside I’ve found so far is that due to it being 100% rubber, the Arccos screw-ins can fall out mid-swing; nothing a little electrical tape can’t fix!

I have a Woode 8; will take a better picture of it today when I get back to the course after work, but while I LOVE the look and idea of this bag, I feel that it missed the mark in regards to it's marketing/practicality.

    The Good:
The color!!! 😍 I don't think I'll ever have to feel like "which bag is mine!?" Pockets galore! The magnetic pockets are clutch!!!!! So terrific! For all of those breakfast balls/reloads/mulligans/"I was just messing around"/etc shots, access is so very quick!! Layout is oh-so-sexy when laid out as recommended The Bad:
I haven't used a push cart, but the slots don't work as advertised. While both walking/riding in a cart, the clubs don't stay separated in their little notches.  Every club in each zone fall to one side. I don't like having my putter in the top (big) hole; I prefer the bottom single slot, but the grip (Superstroke Pistol GT 1.0) gets caught when I try to pull it out.
For me, the good outweigh the bad one hundred fold.

    More pictures to come.

I went from making a comment on Friday saying, “I honestly don’t remember the last time I got an Eagle” to getting one on back-to-back days.

Saturday’s started with a pitiful pop up drive into a headwind that knocked it down into the fairway bunker. What followed was a “why the heck not” 5w to the green and draining a slow, downhill, trickling 43’ putt. Boom! 🦅

Sunday’s started with a smooth, high fairway finder and followed with the purest 4i I’ve ever hit. Hit & sat 10” from albatross glory; most upset I’ve ever been with a tap-in 🦅! 😅

I would all what you mentioned here in the second half of your statement as a putter lesson (though it was performed by a fitter). I have worked with a putting coach and have found that to be valuable.

removing variables so you can see what putter works best for your stroke is important.
this is like saying you got fit for irons but they don’t work well on downhill lies or in strong wind
a fitter’s job isn’t to square your stance, read the line, or gauge the distance for you. it’s to find the putter that works best for your stroke to give you the best chance when you’re out on the course.
once you’re out there, the rest is on you.

So I'm so very sad to report that the Woode has gone back to the store 😢
When I bought the bag, I had intended to use it for about 75% "riding dirty" and 25% carrying. Living in AZ, I do play a fair amount of summer golf in 90 - 110* weather that just isn't conducive to walking without passing out dead. I was hopeful that the "Hybrid" title meant that equal thought was put into the riding as it was the walking. The first 9 hole round was played on my little exec with very little undulation so the arrangement of the clubs through the round didn't seem like much of an issue.
This past Saturday however, I put the bag through its real test at Gold Canyon on the Dinosaur Mountain course. This is a very classic AZ hills type course. Lots of elevated tees and greens, forced carry, uneven lies, etc. What I found was that with nearly every hole, the clubs seemed to be bouncing around each other and were just jumping out of order. This immediately punched my OCD square in the jaw.
I will say this that aside from the cart riding disfunction of the top, the rest of the bag is a total winner IMO. I was actually getting on with the quick-access snap pockets pretty well. The rest of the pockets, material, build quality and thought put into the placement of the pockets, zipper pulls, etc all checked the boxes for me. I really like the square-ish shape of the top which did seem to sit and stay locked into the cart pretty nicely without shifting or rotating as bags can do throughout the round. Colorways, and aesthetics are awesome! The function and build quality of the legs and opening mechanism was top-notch too.
I will say that if OGIO decides to make a 14 slot bag inspired by this bag, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! OGIO if you're listening (probably not), please make this bag with the same plastic/rubber top, the wood slots down the right side, and individual full-length slots for each club. You would have a homerun bag for us dirty riders!

Can't blame you for trying.  I'm still on the fence because of the snap pocket for the valuables... still just goes against my logic as much as the top seems perfect for a push cart.  I also got spoiled by the quality pockets and feel of the Vessel bags with the Speedzone stand bag last season... while that one had a 4 way top I didn't love, the players 2.0 6 way looks pretty damn tempting... good thing they're out of stock right now. 😆
I'm going to browse around PGASS Friday, but it seems I'm going to need to start my own bag company to get what I want... 🙂

The Srixon ZX Utility iron came yesterday.  This was just extremely easy to hit and gave me the exact carry and forgiveness I was looking for.  Also dispersion was outstanding.  I immediately knew off the face where the ball was going and the sim would justify.  Excited to put this one in play.

Probably doing the same, but thought it may have been the 80g weight I was getting used to. Went to the range and everything was good so hoping it continues tomorrow on the course. It has potential to be the best club I’ve ever owned, not just best 3 wood. Early days though

... When you can reach 275-300 with a 3 wood and you consistently hit it better than your diver, no real need for a driver. Playing against some real bombers Ariya Jutanugarn just won in Thailand only using her Ti 3 wood off the tee. And like you she was hitting it shorter than the longest players but equal to and longer than most of her competitors. Always a good idea to continue to practice and work with a driver but if you don't hit it as well as your 3 wood or have the same confidence it makes sense to just play your 3 wood. Most on this forum would be thrilled to hit their drivers 275!

Definitely check out the SIM2 Ti Rocket 3w (13.5*)! I've been having fun flighting it high on approach shots and launching gnarly low, penetrating missiles off the tee, and talking crap to my friends when I out drive their drivers.

I was very close to dumping my 3w and going with my 2h as my sole club between driver and irons.  Of course, right on cue, my 3w began behaving.
It's funny how clubs sometimes respond to threats.  LOL

I think it depends on the course you play on a regular basis. The 2 I play have plenty of holes where hitting 3 wood off the tee is the better option, but also has 2 long par 5’s. For me it’s an important club as I always like a backup when driver is feeling off too.

Switched to the Callaway Super Hybrid and I’ve used it off the tee a few times, and on a couple long approaches... So far so good! Today, on a slight dogleg left, narrow fairway, trees down each side with a couple big ones just off the tee box on the left side, I hit it off the tee and it carried 265 and stopped in a wet fairway. Nice little draw, felt great, loved it!
