  1. My guess is you hit one of the irons with the "power holes", which feel a little tinny to me. The 9, P, and Gap have a much more satisfying forged thump to them.

I think that is personal perspective. It was one of my questions coming out of stage 1; I was curious about how the feel/ sound and performance changed when the power holes went away. I don't notice any difference between the clubs. But that is me, it will probably depend on how sensitive you are in feeling the club during the swing and at impact.

  2. I'm not quite there yet. Where to?

Addicted to golf . Take the J Clyde Morris exit away from the college ; 2nd exit for you. Go about 2 miles to a strip mall on the left. County grill is in the strip mall.

    1215 George Washington Highway

    Yorktown. 23693.

If you keep going down that road for about 15 more minutes you can stop in at MGS LXB.

  3. Just can't get it together for 18 holes.  Have some good holes and then I have a few blow up holes.  Really not hitting the ball that badly,  just a shot here or there an I get on the bogey train for a few holes.   Yesterday I played 9 and carded a 3 over with a double and a bogey,  today was 8 over with 2 in the water and 1 OB.

  4. So... PT today, she asked me to video my swing last time I was in. Said that golfing is irritating my shoulder after watching my video. That's why I keep getting the flare ups...

    Not sure what to do.

It feels great when I'm playing, but reaching for door knobs, the shampoo bottle, a coffee cup... not so good.

Golf season is too dang short not to gold here... what to do??!!

Find a new physical therapist. . Just kidding, maybe ask if she teaches golf.

  5. Finally got over to test the lab to do some more testing,   Today was trying to figure out where I was hitting the ball on the face to see if the Xhots were causing the big ball speed variations or if the C300s have a big sweetspot and keep the ball speed up.

I was hitting the ball fairly well today and I think the numbers reflect this.  Alternated clubs after hitting 5 shots for a total of 10 shots with each club.  6 iron was used again. I didn't drop any shots and as you can see toe is my normal miss.

C300s seem to launch higher with a bit more spin and the XHots seem to be a little bit longer.   Maybe it is just my lack of knowledge on fitting, but both sets seem to perform pretty equally for me.

i think I have the info I need from LM sessions;  time to get these out to the course a few more times and see how they work on the course.

  6. Apologize. My only connection to golf has been watching almost every tour event I can feast my eyes on.When it comes to real golf it has been you tube and reading forums

Apologize for what?   Everyone is welcome here and we all engage in the sport in different ways.

  7. Nope however I just got back from a trip over to Dicks.  My friend who works there called Ping and they are sending me a new driver.  My buddy loaned me a demo until the new one arrives so I'm good to go!

Glad it worked out for you.   Now just stop hitting the ball so hard so you don't break the next one!

  8. Supposed to be testing 3 Woods at the MGS LXB tonight. Going to try and get some impact tape or put the dots On my 6 iron to see how my face impact looks. Trying to follow up on my ball speed difference to see if the Wilson's fit me better or if the ball speed on misshits is more consistent.

My testing time has been deferred. Will do this test next time I can get to the range or MGS LXB

  9. In looking at the distances, you have a variance of 150-184 yards with the Callaways, but the Wilsons don't have that large of a gap. Man, I don't want 35 yards difference out of my irons! Wilsons look better to me by far! Give me consistency on/off-center every time!!!

Yep and I agree with you on the variations.  The next thing I need to figure out is where on the face am I hitting the ball.  Hoping to get some impact tape or foot powder to check that out.  If I am hitting the Wilson's more on the center then it probably leans toward the shaft/lie angle being the reason.  If they are both similar in impact, then it leans more toward the clubhead.
