Is it possible for a lefty to become a tester?

Not for this test unfortunately but we do have plenty of upcoming opportunities for lefties so stay tuned.

I am interested in if my Hazardous Blue shafts are better or worse. @GolfSpy_BNG maybe you know I am a lefty, and I am missing everything left even with an inside club path and a right clubface.

My current driver and shaft are Ping G with a Hazardous Blue 65g Low Spin shaft (stiff Flex), my swing speed is 125-130 club head speed.

Pm sent so we don’t sidetrack this thread

Having a serious debate with myself on this one... definitely would want to test it (if selected), but would be hard to fly out to one of the fitting locations. There is one that's a 7-hour drive away... might sign up anyway and try to find a way to make a day trip. @GolfSpy_BNG how far are you from Madison?

IMG_2507.png Looks like not too bad of a road trip.

This is going to be a VERY cool testing opportunity! @GolfSpy_BNG once you get a location determined with a group for demo'ing the force plates and shafts, let me know! I would certainly be interested in checking it out, helping to run things and meet some forum members in the process!

For sure will do that. If we get enough people interested and have nice weather I’m will to travel otherwise I can set up a time with my local place so we have full swing and mevo plus LM’s

I am testing the Callaway balls, but it would be really interesting if in the future MGS and these companies would let us test multiple companies at the same time. I would love to compare these against the new Callaway balls. I compared the Callaway balls to the current balls I am playing, but it would be really cool to compare a brand new ball to a brand new ball. This would be even better for me because I don't use either of these balls currently. I do like the Callaway balls I tested and they are going to make it into my bag soon, time will tell if they fully replace the Pro V1. I have to use up my Vero balls I have from OnCore. I don't have the new Vero XP so I can't comment on that one, but these new Callaways out performed the Vero x1 and x2.

These are review opportunities for the OEM to showcase their ball. It’s always best to not compare whatever equipment you are testing to what you are playing but not always easy to do. Some comparisons are inevitable and probably needed but the reviews are meant to test the manufacturer/OEM claims. If they themselves compare the ball/equipment to another OEM then by all means compare away. Similar to Odin comparing their X1 to the ProV1.

  5. A quick question for all those that have signed up especially those that don’t live in Texas.

Are you willing to travel to Texas at YOUR OWN EXPENSE to be fit by Jon at his studio?  If not don’t sign up. Reading is fundamental and while I’m ecstatic that quite a few spies actually read the testers wanted post, I’m also terribly disappointed at how many only want free stuff.

If you can’t read don’t go complaining that you never get chosen for anything. It’s on YOU as we lay it out very simply on how to have a shot to be chosen.

Any idea on cost of a private fitting and bundling of shafts? Might need to take my own jack-wagon advice and fly up and give a private  fitting ago….. TIA

Honestly have no idea on private fitting. It also depends on which shafts fit ya.  The nitro range is a $650 shaft and the Power range is $380 I believe.

I had kind of been thinking I was only gong to signup for putter tests recently but this sounds to interesting to pass up and I have been experimenting with shaft profiles recently. I am in Texas but any idea where about in Texas for the fitting as it is a big state and would need to make sure I could have the time to get there.

The fitting will be at Jon’s studio in Euless

Wow!!! A fitting and 3 shafts? What an opportunity!!!  Anyone who is capable, should immediately sign up for this!!!

While I am out of range for this, are their parameters for the clubs/heads needed to be brought for this test?

Yes once we select the testers, we will let Jon know what driver, fairway, hybrid they play so he can be ready to roll once the fitting is scheduled.

Testers will be fit into the Pure Power range(Power and Nitro shafts) and whatever they are fit into is what TPT will send them for review.

  9. Very interested in this one. The F-3 looks really good to me. Can’t wait to follow along and see our members thoughts.

Just a quick side note to all those that apply. Putter reviews are some of the hardest reviews we do. It takes tons of creativity and hard work to give a good review normally but putters seem to take that up a notch. Good luck to all that apply.
