The data says one thing, and the "feels" and the eye test say something else.  Quick 9-holes today but only hit the TF Orange 3 times.  Data (using Shot Scope V5) says: 3/3 fairways hit; 211-214-229 yds. for a 218 yd. average.  "Feels" and eye test say: each swing feels like a struggle, and ball flight is loooow with pronounced but fairly predictable right-to-left flight.
Playing a course tomorrow that allows for up to 13 driver shots.  Played this course about a week ago with the TF Orange so it will be interesting to see the difference, if any.

Played a tournament today at Squaw Valley - Lakes Course. But of course this is the 3rd round I have played with the new shaft and every time there has been a down pour the night before. So the course is soak yet again. BUT with that been said. I drove the ball the best I have with this shaft. I missed 2 fairways. One was a split fairway that I hit into the split (had a great second shot into the green from the fairway bunker) and then on 16th, it was a push right my only bad swing of the day. I was getting tired by now.


I felt like I still could swing faster and not lose the fairway. I was not worried about total distance as the ball was landing and stopping and inch or 2 away.  The swings felt powerful every swing, confidence was growing hole my hole.

I went to the range yesterday and look at the numbers and they have been still pretty consistent, so I was feeling good coming into to day round.

I'm hoping to play it sometime soon when the course is not soaking wet.

Spent the last few evenings re-staining our deck and decided that wood does not belong outside.
Dropped the wife’s car off for a state inspection and have them look at a couple other things that have popped up.  She had a transmission warning pop up a few times which is due to the torque converter, this will be covered under a recall, definitely good news.  The key issue (not recognizing the keys) requires a module replacement…not under warranty.  Ugh, but figure I need the keys to work!

Happy Sunday morning spies! Beautiful day ahead of us today and while I’d love to get out on the course again, we are having a birthday party for our oldest with his friends. It’ll be at the bowling alley (his first sport love) from 12-3. At least 14 7-8 year olds. Please pray for me and SWMBO. 😂
It should be plenty fun and I imagine go pretty quick as I try to manage all that energy lol. 
My morning round yesterday, as mentioned, was about as bad as I’ve played in recent memory. Then I took the boys out for a few holes in the evening and proceeded to shoot +5 over 5 holes lol. Was +2 through 3 then had a double on the 4th hole we played and a bogey on the 5th hole. Golf is a maddening game, lol. 
Maybe I’ll luck out and get some range and/or practice net time at some point today, we will see!

I had a great day yesterday taking my wife out for birthday shopping and dinner. She found some of the more rare houseplants for her collection and was happy walking out with them. 
@rkj427 I love the photos you posted up from the Leader Dog event of the cars and all the other things that were on display at the museums. 
@GolfSpy_KFT I hope you survive the gathering of children hurling heavy spheres down a lane and come out unscathed. Happy birthday to your oldest, I hope the party goes well. 
I have no idea what the day holds for me except grocery shopping. I haven't looked at the weather to see how much or when it's going to rain. No matter what, it'll be a good day.

A cooler day in Chicago as some rain and thunderstorms moved through the area last night. I'm definitely glad I got a round in yesterday versus today.
Celebrated Cinco de Mayo a day early with dinner and margaritas and our favorite local Mexican restaurant last night. Finished the evening with some drinks at home watching a movie.
Hoping to hit up the driving range this morning to continue to work on some feels I was having success with yesterday. My swing is definitely trending in the right direction as we get closer to peak golf season.
Headed to an F1 bar this afternoon to watch the Miami race with my wife and some friends. Should be a fun time.

Good morning Spies on a cloudy and cooler Sunday morning here.
Have a round scheduled for this afternoon and hoping that the ground will not be too wet or soggy from an overnight rain we had.
Spent yesterday at two (2) different events/locations doing some volunteer work for Leader Dogs, but also managed to get some pictures of some of the things at each place, as well as some of the vehicles there.
Will post in the "Random Thread" area about those, but also wanted to share the links to the pictures on Google here, so anyone who visits MGS may have the opportunity to view them if they chose to do so.
Weather forecast here for the next 10 days looks to be cooler with rain about every other day, so may be more range and practice putting green time than actual course time?
