Short sided myself on a long par 4….had about 10 yards to the green but the pin was maybe 10 feet over a deep bunker…..opened up the 58* hit a high flop that cleared the bunker by a foot at the most and then slowly trickled towards the pin until it disappeared into the cup for my only birdie of the day 

Which ball performs best with a massive hangover 😂

My youngest child graduates from College tomorrow and he is already gainfully employed….wahoo!

There’s 2 leagues. You said you wanted to play circus so you got an invite to that in addition to the main league. Check your inbox/spam for that but I’ll try to get new invites out today regardless. 

I'm on a short vacation with the wife and baby (left the boys with the grandparents) and I snuck out during nap to play down here in Galveston. This was such a short notice vacation and golfing opportunity that I forgot to pack golf shorts... So I played in a swimsuit... And I know that angered the golf gods. 
I was the first one off at 1pm after a morning tournament and they let me play a twosome with a random pairing but we were in separate carts. We took off and finished the round in 2hrs and 10 minutes. It was incredibly quick and the most common phrases muttered between Chuck and I were "good shot/putt" and "see you at the green". 
I had setup my Arccos Link, app, Apple watch and Bluetooth speaker prior to the first swing and didn't check it until the 15th green to verify a distance off the tee... Arccos said I was -57 for the day with 14 holes in one... It didn't pick up a single shot. I was devastated. I was playing well and since we were playing fast, I didn't remember exactly how far each shot traveled and exact pin placements. The best I could do was try to remember simple golf stats on the round. Here's what I recall:
Fairways: 12/13 - these are very generous fairways but I was still impressed with the accuracy I'm seeing in the driver and big tour 3 off the tee. The early days of hard draws and hooks appear to be gone for now. 
Greens: 14/18 with 3 up and downs. I only had a few bad swings on the day and most were on long par 3s where I missed right of the green. 
Putts: No 3-putts, good distance control on greens, a few birdie putts and of course the missed putts inside 10' that can turn a round from good to great.

@TBTi apologize for not giving you a heads up as this round was planned the night before. I've got a reminder to let you know when I'm down here in September so we can go tee it up at Moody. 

Pretty easy to see not many of these courses are in the Houston area.....pretty sad

Got out this afternoon for a round…..really hot!
Started off really shaky but found my grove mid round
48 + 41 = 89
Back 9 could have been even better but I barely tipped a tree limb on a tee shot and the ball kicked dead right into the water and I made double on that hole.

Well…..I’ve been worried that I suddenly lost 10 yards in distance and it turns out it’s the Kirkland balls my wife gave me for Father’s Day 😂🤪
Luckily I only have a dozen left.
I’ve had good luck with Snell MTB Black before…guess I need to go back to them

I am new to the site and glad to be here!
 
How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I have been playing for a pretty long time. With increasing responsibilities at work, and just general adulting, my handicap has gone up to a 9. I generally shoot high 70s/low 80s. 
What do you love about golf? I love that it affords me the opportunity to spend time outside with friends. I appreciate the camaraderie and competition. My father was a college golfer, and since he has passed away, it has given me the opportunity to feel closer to him in an odd way.
What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I really enjoy the reviews and finally spent enough time on the site to realize that there were forums.
Where are you from? What is your home course? I am originally from Galveston, Texas where my family has been in residence since prior to the 1900 storm. I currently live in League City which is just south of Houston, basically where NASA is located. I am lucky to play at a number of courses in the area, both public and private. Honestly, I would not know which course to call my home.
What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? The best thing about golf in our region is that we have a lot of it, and we get a lot of warm weather. The downside is that is gets really warm and the humidity is insane. 
What do you do for a living? I am a managing consultant for a firm specializing in human resources.
