Hello from NY!

Hi everyone. I wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I've been a reader of Mygolfspy.com for a while and figured I should sign up as a member. I'm looking forward to joining the discussion I've been reading for a few years.

 

I've been golfing since I was 7 when my grandfather cut down an old 7 iron and taught me to swing. I quit when he stopped playing then picked it up again when my friends started playing. Fun fact- I once fell out of a moving golf cart driven by Angrygolfhulk.

 

I'd play everyday if work didn't get in the way but I need money to buy clubs. In the last few years I've improved significantly and got my handicap down to 12.3. My goal is to get to single digits by the end of this summer.

I play there several times a year, mostly when I have friends from out of the area that want to play it.  I try to play early so some of the local tracks near me fit that mold a bit better.

I love to hear stories about Grandfathers teaching the game to kids. There is not a day on the golf course that I don't think about mine, who made me caddy at age 8. Now, I'm the Gpa teaching my grand kids.
