I’ve been playing for 30+ years but I tend to play irons for a decade or more before switching so surprisingly… not many sets. 

Started with garage sale whatever mix & match.
 

First real set was Ping ISI (1999)

Then Ping G10 (2008)

Now Titleist AP3 (2018)

My buddy who I have played a round or two a week with for 25 years never beat me for the longest time and I can't remember what year it was when Wilson Fat Shafts came out but he showed up with them and we all laughed as he is constantly trying to buy the game so this was hilarious as his last name is Taft , and that day became "Fat shaft Taft" but the joke was on me he beat me by three strokes!!!!

Not making it easy on yourself with those sticks!!! The MODUS 120s are a beast and the Titleist 200s are super sweet when flushed but not the least bit forgiving huh?? My golf partner for league plays them but he is a 3 hdcp I hit them all day one time in a Scramble and liked them when I hit the center but they didn't like me on toe or heel hits!!! I have the Modus 120 in my "driving iron" and it's a telephone pole but perfect for me and that iron!!! What did you think of the PXGs ??? Friend just found that exact set at an estate sale I hope he likes them because he is all stoked about it!!!

I was surprised going to the Modus 120 stiff too, but that’s what we landed on in my fitting in Dec. I’d have to say they don’t feel very boardy at all, compared to other stiff flex shafts we tried they feel more like regular+. You can really feel the tip section flex, feels like it’s snapping to the ball which I like.

As for the T200s, they feel pretty forgiving to me haha. I definitely don’t hit the sweet spot all the time, but liking my distance. My miss is thin which also seems to be working out with these. We tried a bunch of heads but liked numbers, feel, and looks on these the best. 

PXGs felt great, I just had them paired with the wrong shaft for me.

Spring 2023 - Dunlop Invicta (Given to me to start)

Beginning of Summer 2023 - Cobra T Rails (Bought as a starter set)

End of summer 2023 - Ping G710 (Traded the Cobras for them)

Winter 2024 - Mizuno 919 Forged (Loved the feel and look so couldn't say no)

I had my bag stolen at Bethpage Black of all places and will never use a Scotty Cameron bag again for that reason!! It's a giant "steal me" banner and seeing 6 grand gone was enough to make me homicidal!!! I hate a thief

Believe it or not the management at Bethpage asked me for some photos, they claim so they could be on the lookout I later realized it was so they could see if I was lying about the value and about a month later I got a letter from them with a check for 6k apologizing for lack of security and camera coverage of the bag drop!!! I was shocked and immediately wrote them some really epic reviews in any place I could find to write them

Now that was nice. So many courses have signs up saying they’re not responsible for lost or stolen items these days. Kind of makes you leary to play places like that. That’s one of the main reasons I don’t use a bag drop area and try to keep my bag in sight. After the round stuff gets locked up in my car trunk before going into the clubhouse for drinks or a meal. Born and raised in NY on Long Island makes you suspicious of everyone.

I was about to say the same thing @Tom the Golf Nut. There's a course that I play quite a bit and the bag drop is 200 yds from the clubhouse with 0 visibility from the pro shop staff and no cameras in site (the closest one would be on the clubhouse 200 yds away, if they had one). Now that I think about it, there are no windows on the bag drop side of the building at all. So I do the same thing as you and keep my bag locked in the trunk or bring it with me all the way to the clubhouse entrance area. My clubs aren't extremely valuable, but I've heard too many horror stories for comfort.

I can't imagine loosing 6k worth of gear, but that's pretty special that Bethpage made it as right as they could by sending a check. Good on them.

The only two reasons it happened were me stupidly having a loud bag that says "This is money" and me being too cheap to pay a valet and leaving the clubs unattended and yes there should be cameras but in the end it was my fault and the surely were not liable but chose to make it well.

Yeah it turned what was going to be a great day into a bad one really quick but in the end iam glad I didn't find who took them and that Bethpage was awesome

For a game that is generally supposed to be based on integrity, it is pretty surprising that someone would take someone else’s clubs…and multiple people have listed that happening, just crazy.

I would have never given it a thought but when it happened to me I started hearing tons of stories and I guess parking lots due to their remote nature are also Hotspot for people stealing tools and all kinds of stuff. People suck until proven otherwise man!!!
