I found Potter's follow-through unusual. At least, you don't see that kind of motion on tour very often.

*more noticeable at regular speed

Obviously, there are many ways to skin the cat to have a good impact position. It clearly worked for Potter.

Still, I feel like I have seen a lot of hackers on the course lashing at a ball like that and they certainly can't make it work.

Potter is self taught and he's right handed.

I think it's great see different swings on tour. Wonder what caused him to play lefty?

Reminds me of a comment Tiger made in a podcast about how all the swings look so similar now because all the young folks try to emulate older guys using all the camera tech now. Could be just tiger yearning for the good ol' days, but I think he respected the guy that showed up with a swing he figured out on his own.

I liked watching his full swing, he went down after the ball, and had a smooth full follow through, and took a full swing, which showed his commitment to the shot. we can all stand to do this. The other thing I liked is that my distances were just about the same as his, he is way more accurate than me, but distance wise I am right on where he was hitting it.

It is a really flat, outside-in swing as well. A bit of a rare bread on tour now given the prominence of Justin Thomas - high hands type swings.

Because just about everybody in the world hits the ball farther than I do, I enjoyed watching Potter and DJ.  Potter didn't care that DJ was most times 40 yards ahead of him, he played his game.   Because he hit first, it was like he was saying-OK now after I put this ball on the green, let's see what you do.   I could relate with him, no so much the long ballers.

Glad to see Potter win after everything he has gone thru since his last win on tour.  He really had to be mentally strong with the slow play on the last two holes.  I can't imagine waiting as long as he did on his third into 18 and then hitting such a quality shot.

If you believe the commentators on Sunday, they said he got his first set of clubs when he was little from his father and they were left handed.
