I Finally won a comp! I can answer some questions that I couldnt before. What are your experiences in comps??

By finally winning one I have a few more insights that totally contradict what I've read.  

Or maybe I just had to figure out how to do it.  

I had to wait an hour to find out my results....I did it by one shot.

It was over 2 days and I will tell you it was hard to do...HINT: it wasnt the shots.

Sure this is what worked for me. 

I made sure my checklist before every shot was just long enough that I couldnt think of anything else! 

One shot at a time did not work for me at all. 

For me it wasnt expecting a score or trying to make birdie on all holes. I was just trying to match up to my plan on each hole. 

KISS: Hit the fairway, Hit the green. Leave a tap in at worst. 

 

Most important: Being really nice to myself when I hit my first shot on day 1 two fairways left!!!

Thanks so much! Game changer for me....I went in blind without seeing the place ever. Really more humbling than I thought it would make me feel.
