MadMex
I used to be into the headcover collecting hobby some years ago. At the time SC was the top dog and everything and anything he released soon gained 50% in price. While browsing the bay, I discovered SWAG Golf headcovers and saw what the asking price for them, then saw another brand, "Lamb", this made me realize I been out of the loop for a while. So what is up with SWAG? Have they knocked SC of the pedestal and are now the top dogs? Some interesting covers, in YOUR opinion, are they worth going after or a novelty? Please keep comments civil, I don't want to start a combat thread like some SC threads in Golfwrx !!!!! Shankster
Never even heard of them. The only hardcovers I collect are the ones that come with the clubs. Haha. I did attempt to make my own driver cover once. I am not good with a sewing machine. GaDawg and MadMex
cnosil
SWAG does seem to have taken over that market. Like Cameron and Tyson Lamb their stuff sells out almost instantaneously. SWAG seems to be big into headcovers and Lamb more into ball markers and nick knacks. Lots of companies seem to be getting into this business; I've been watching Legend golf as well; the single prong divot tools are nice; just not in the price range I am willing to pay. Makes me want to get give it a go myself Nolan220 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: Sacks Parente MC 3 Stripe Backup Putters: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W, TM-180 Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017
RickyBobby_PR
Swag has done a good job but scotty is still the top guy for now. The US as well as the Japanese releases sell out typically within minutes. Scotty’s secondary market from what I’ve seen is stronger than swag at the moment. MadMex
Funny part is that about 19 years ago, when I was financially strapped after retiring from military and a divorce all at once, I wanted a 009 and several other things, now that I am more financially secure AND can afford a 009 with no problem, I cant seen to find a reason to spend so much on a putter or covers. Nolan220
I like some of there designs for swag , but they sell out so fast and so of the mark ups are crazy on some. Look on eBay and some are like 20-30 more then asking price not too bad and some are like couple $100 which is insane to me …I actually like the Scotty designs a lot as well too. Joel C
I think SWAG head covers are starting to pull ahead of SC. They have some awesome series head covers that they put out (garbage pale kids, street fighter, Masters tournament, etc) I have been trying to get their king of spades head cover for a while but as stated above I am not willing to pay the huge secondary market up charge. I see people post pictures of the SWAG and they have 8-10 head covers...I always wonder what kind of disposable income they have or if they just have a knack of getting lucky on original release. I don't know if I would ever collect them but I would like to someday have one...life goals. gavinski91
Apparently Steve Stricker had SWAG make a custom set for the members of the US Ryder Cup team - says a lot about how popular they've become. cnosil 1 Quote Driver - Radspeed XB, Aldila Rogue Silver 70-S 3 Wood - Radspeed, Aldila Rogue Silver 70-S 5 Wood - Radspeed, Fujikura Motore X F3 6-S 7 Wood - 0341x Gen 4, Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue 75-S Irons - Pro 225 4-5, 223 6-PW, KBS $-Taper 120 Wedges - King Cobra Snakebite 52° & 58°, KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 S Putter - Stroke Lab Black Ten 35" Ball - Chrome Soft X LS Powered by 2020 ExPutt Official Review | 2021 Cobra Connect Five Participant | 2023 SuperSpeed Official Review
Teddymax13
A few old employees from Bettinardi work there including one that does the milling. I was an early buyer of a Suave One but wish they would do for putters what they do for head covers.
