They’re sending “loyal customers” four ball packs of the new TP5 and TP5x to try out. My email was sent to the “promotions” folder so I almost missed it. Be sure to check your email folders if you order from Taylormade/have an account! Ian and Mikey did a head to head agains the ProV1x on YouTube the other day and it was consistently lower in spin, which as I high spin driver player really appeals to me. Tsecor Posted February 21 Share Posted February 21 Played the TP5's the other day......9 holes with each........this does not match the media hype at all......TP5x is still very clicky, not enough spin under 100 yards and the distance is the same as many other balls. The TP5 is still too soft, spinny and short.... All the TM marketing is funny to me as Rory, Fowler and youtube "influencers" are all saying the same thing "Ive made my best gains with thi ball".....lol..... and the fact TM says "the longest 5 layer ball on the market" is a joke......its the ONLY 5 layer ball out there...... Some love the left dash and some don’t. Its on the consumer to try the product and see if the hype matches the performance. blackhawk1539 Posted March 2 Author Share Posted March 2 Haven’t gotten mine from TM yet but went today to Golf Galaxy for a free ball fitting. I currently play the last gen TP5. Looks like I’ll be sticking with it. Between new TP5, Chrome Tour, Z Star and Bridgestone Tour Bxs. It played the best for me.
