Erin B
2 hours ago, Preeway said: Good early evening gents. I'm finding myself ready to get home after 6 days at the lake. Always fun to come down with all the family (that's 9 adults and 9 kids) but even in the huge house we rent every year it's hard to find a way to escape. Plus, I can only handle so much lazy time before I get restless. Saturday will be a 6 hour drive home and unpacking before realizing we left the fridge empty last Saturday so there isn't anything to make for dinner. Even after typing this now, I'll surely find myself shocked and angry at this revelation tomorrow night. Hope everyone has a great evening. rkj427
Good evening Spies on a Friday that had both rain and sun in the skies, as a slow-moving front passes over us before we cool down and loose the humidity for the weekend. @Preeway safe travels home tomorrow, and @Michael.Sandoval33 hope you get too feeling better sooner rather than later, although rest may be the best thing for your issue. Did manage to get some time in at the range earlier this morning, and rain interfered with me walking to the course close to the house to use the practice putting green. No golf tomorrow, SWMBO youngest granddaughter is having her high school graduation party, and that will keep us busy most of the day. Next round for me on Sunday, and looking forward to that as my daughter wants to join as well. Popular Post Swood1994
Good evening, Spies! We had a great day today up at the lake at our friend's family's lake house. I rolled the dice and tried to get our daughter to take a nap in the car on the way up and that failed miserably. Even worse she would not take a nap when we got there either. This is the first time that she has fully skipped her nap which made this interesting and hopefully tonight goes smoothly as well with the adjustment in her schedule. Except for the skipped nap we had a great time catching up with friends and spending the day in the water! William P
Evening Spies! Trust everyone had a good Friday. Got out with my neighbor for a round today which turned out be a very pleasant day given our recent heat wave. Only reached the mid 90's and cloud cover kept the sun at bay for most of the afternoon. Although I didn't strike the ball particularly well, I managed to get around the course in 81 (41 front and 40 back). Was an unexceptional day as ball striking was not crisp and tended to be thin for better part of the round. Distance control with putter was better today than in past few weeks but I never gave myself any good legitimate birdie opportunities. Safe travels for you and your family @Preeway. Enjoy your trip and time in Charlotte @Erin B. I imagine los poopies are wondering where their cuddle buddy is... Best wishes for a speedy recovery @Michael.Sandoval33. rkj427
Good evening Spies on a no golf but busy with family function Saturday. Took my grandson with us to SWMBO granddaughters graduation party and he had a blast swimming in their pool, playing with other kids his age (7) and although it was cloudy earlier in the day, the sun broke through for a while during the afternoon. Naturally, that didn't last long enough as we got rain again on the way home. @Preeway glad to see you made it home safe and sound. Not ideal to travel on holiday weekends for anyone. @Michael.Sandoval33 glad to hear some improvement, but like mentioned do not rush the process, better to be fully healed than risk chance of worse injury. @Erin B safe travels back on Sunday, and will be looking for pictures of your new wardrobe. @Rob Person hope things get better and back to normal there, and even being pro-active with wanting to remove trees, seems they all wait until things get worse before doing anything about a potential issue. Golf for me on Sunday, and weather is supposed to be sunny and low 80's and really looking forward to it as I am playing with my daughter as well. William P
Good evening Spies! not much accomplished today... Certainly not to the level of work that @skraeling was getting done! Very nicely done, I might add! Glad to see you made it home safely @Preeway although you must now deal with the self-proclaiming prophecy of finding something to eat... Insurance companies would rather play the odds and stretch any potential claim payments to the bitter end @Rob Person. Logic has no place in the equation. Hoping you have a better round tomorrow @ILMgolfnut, after all you have now had your practice round and hopefully got a full night's sleep. Safe travels tomorrow @Erin B. Don't rush the leg @Michael.Sandoval33, it will be ready to resume the game in good time.
