RoverRick
Standard answer, but only because it’s true, you need to hit them both and pick the one best for you. Both are excellent drivers, coupled with the right shaft for you, they will be great. The last Callaway driver I hit was 2016. I didn’t love the G425 Max but love the G430 LST. However, I have 2-3 guys I play with that love their G425 Max’s. rleegabe, TJ Hall, Josh Parker and 3 others 6 Quote G430 LST 10.5° on T P T POWER 18 Hi Driver G430 Max 15° on T P T POWER 18 Hi Fairway iCrossover 3i on T P T POWER 18 Hi Hybrid iCrossover 4i on Graphite Design ADDI 7S i525 5-U on TGI 90 S SM9 54° & 58° on Wedge DF2.1 on White LINK1on T P T Putter (on order) ProV1 Precision Pro NX7 Pro All Iron grips are BestGrips Micro-Perforated Mid

GolfSpy_APH
I would lean Paradym over the G425. On sound alone. Performance of both is solid and hard to go wrong if you find the right combo with shaft. Most will offer similar performance within their categories. Check out the MyGolfSpy Most Wanted awards as well. They give a great overview to help narrow a search. Also MyGolfSpy has TruGolf Fit - it's a free online fitting app for all brands. It will give a shaft option as well and top two choices. All based on most wanted data and your inputs. Again it's free and a cool wait to help see what options could be good starting points. rleegabe, Josh Parker, Byrnzee and 2 others 5 Quote as of Oct 5, 2024 (Past WITB) Driver: GT2 with Graphite Design AD CQ - check out the Driver Shootout! The Paradym AI Smoke TD is definitely one of the best drivers (for me) that I have hit in the last two decades! However, had I known that Callaway was going to release a Paradym AI Smoke TD Max driver just 5 months later, I am sure that I would have waited to make my purchase. Perhaps I will trade my standard AI Smoke TD driver head for the TD Max model, if I get the chance to do that. Both can be had for a good price as they are last year's models but will perform very similarly to the newest models. I highly suggest you hit them both as they are to me worlds apart in feel and sound. I did not enjoy or play well with the Paradym or Rogue drivers and that's how I ended up with my PING. I gained 20-30 yards with the TPT shaft, but it was because swimg changes and maximizing the launch conditions. Erin B
14 hours ago, rleegabe said: Wanting to buy new driver and have two in mind. Callaway Paradym X or the Ping G425 Max, would appreciate thoughts or suggestions. On those two, different ends of the spectrum as far as looks, I have them both. The Paradym TD and the 425 LST. I’m more a fan of the Paradym than the 425 because of the shape and size. The TD is a tad smaller and I like that. The 425 is a good club, not 410 great though. A lot of people swear by it, but the club sounds kinda weird to me, although you get used to it. It does go far, and I like its performance in the wind. The Paradym launches a little higher than the 425, both of mine are 9*s. Ive got the same multiple shafts for both clubs, steadfast, Newton, and velocore. I use different shafts depending on conditions. In my opinion the shaft makes the club. Hope that helps you out. tdroma98
Last year I purchased the Paradym X driver, because of its draw bias face & love it! I wasn't a fan of the sound from the Triple Diamond. The shaft is important as well. I had got fitted for the Hzrdus Black 6.0, 60-gram stiff shaft. I was driving the ball longer & straighter. Just for the heck of it, last month I put an Evenflow 50 gram 6.0 stiff shaft, with 4.4 torque vs 3.4 in the Hzrdus Black. The Paradym X is a hot driver, in my opinion. I tweaked the driver setting a bit, going from 10 - D (Draw) to 9.0 N (Neutral) setting and driving the ball further. I've not tried the Ping drivers. rleegabe, Rob Person and TJ Hall 3 Quote Titleist T200 Irons - 5i thru Gap Wedge - Stiff AMT Black Callaway PARADYM X 9.0 with Hazrdous X Black 6.0 Stiff Shaft Fairway Woods: Callaway Maverick 3W & RazrX Black 5W - Stiff Flex Rescue: Apex 4 (22 degree )- Recoil 75H stiff flex Wedges: Titleist SM8 - 54 (D Grind) wedge flex; SM8 58(M grind) wedge flex Putter: Scotty Cameron Phantom X5.5 Ball: Titleist ProV1 Handicap:
