Shoe Question

whiskey golf

Recommended Posts

For the past couple of months I've been having foot problems after a round of golf. They get swollen and it hurts to walk afterwards occasionally. My feet have problems outside of golf but it's the worst when I do golf and I'm thinking it could partly be the shoe. I wear Ecco spikeless shoes and I'm wondering if wearing a spikeless shoe is not good for this type of thing. I haven't worn a spiked shoe in a long time and that was before my feet started having issues so I'm not sure if it would work. I originally thought that more cushion but a bit less support would be better but maybe a little less cushion and more support will be beneficial. What do you guys think? Any experiences are welcome.

Also, I should mention that on a day to day basis, I wear leather work style boots and don't have problems with those.

I suggest either the FJ Dryjoy Tour or the Nike TW.

The FJ Dryjoy Tour is a heavier shoe, but you won't find one more comfortable.

The Nike TW is totally different as ther bottom is sectioned into independently movable squares that give when you walk (similar to the Nike Free shoe).

I just came off a 4 day Buddy Trip and wore the above on days when we played 36 holes.  No probs with either one.

I have the FJ DNA and they are amazing.  But also consider going to a podiatrist for the problem.  They will be able to tell you what the actual problem is and it could be a simple fix like an insert in any shoe.  Foot problems are nothing to take lightly.  Good luck with everything whiskey.

Thank you for the suggestion. I get inflammation sometimes in my joints due to some other health problems and my feet get this inflammation too so it's not specifically a foot problem but I still need to be aware of it so it doesn't get worse than it needs to be. I may talk to a podiatrist later on and see what they have to say.
