mizuno_lover
Wow check these babies out! Blue wedges, and why not Bubba is Ping's pink man. The caption beneath these photos said they were from Charles Howell III 's bag but there is a @Luke Donald on the side of the bag so I'm wondering if they were taken in Luke's bag. They are a fine looking piece of kit and if they work I'd have no hesitation in bagging them at all. Edit: I'm so switched on! They have CH3 stamped on them which pretty much spells Charles Howell dick. My Bag Driver: G25 Stiff shaft3 Wood: JPX 850 16 degree. ZenGolfer
I dont love the blue. I can certainly see how it would match with the 850 woods very well but to me, Mizuno says, "classic" and theres nothing classic about those wedges. They kind of remind me of the Callaway Jaws wedges too. All in all, Im not a huge fan. Id like to see them just get back to making a classic teardrop blade wedge with nothing fancy on the back of the club and a minimal amount of branding stamped onto it. jaskanski
First impressions? Not exactly classic Mizuno and a style that even die-hard fans will find hard to swallow. Can't really see any advantage to a blue scheme, but then again I can't see any advantage to a jewel encrusted and engraved Edel either.

ZenGolfer
Thankfully Nike, Cobra and TM didn't feel the need to follow suit with their woods. Agree. In my irons and wedges, I want either chrome, black, oilcan or matte finish. Im not at all a fan of these wedges and will not be buying one. Since the T-11 and R-12, I havent been a huge fan of Mizuno's wedges. I might be going back to Vokeys, honestly because I just want a nice, classic, teardrop wedge. Hope these are different! Was it like the oilcan finish they used to use that was designed to rust over time? I havent owned a Vokey wedge for almost 10 years and I was kind of bummed when I learned they dont make it anymore. Now, they have a black finish that is unplated, which is supposed to rust over time like the oilcan did. mizuno_lover
At the end of the day I don't care what they look like so much as how they perform. Blue happens to be my favourite colour, not that I am particularly enamoured by these babies but by the same token I don't hate them either. I only own one wedge that I can say I love using at the moment and am in search of a set of wedges. From what you guys have been saying about the Scor wedges I am tempted to buy one and try it and maybe go from there. It is a big leap however to like one and buy two on spec especially when they are an international order because we don't have them here in Aus. wbealsd
All I can say is, after my wedge fitting where I ended up with completely different wedges than I though I would, I really, REALLY, like them no matter what color they come in! They're chromed, but I'm wearing it off and I don't care. The ultimate scoring club is probably the putter, but my wedges are working to make my putts shorter. I've never played Ping before, but their Groove wedges are impressing me! I loved the SCORs with a full swing, but for all around versatility, the Groove's are working for me. (AND I NEED THAT)! I had trouble on partial shots with the SCORs, and the Ping's seem more natural to me. (JUST ME, your mileage may vary). I've had one Mizuno wedge, and I loved it, it just didn't fit with anything else I had at the time. It played high and straight, I just couldn't consistently control the distance when it was the only Mizuno in the bag.
