Morning all on a beautiful sunny start to the day. Hoping the weather stays like this as yesterdays weather was worse then Mondays Strong winds, rain and even hail at times which made it very challenging. It got better as the round went on but I was in one of the first groups out so got the worst of it. My game suffered as a result and I’ve dropped to 4th after day 2. However today is a new day, new course, we are playing the course that’s hosted several European and Seniors tour events today, so hoping to have a good one.
This is the view across the tour course from the hotelThanks for all the well wishes and encouragement. It’s greatly appreciated. Hope you all have a great day and it involves golf.
Here’s a few more pics of yesterdays courseOn a final note today is 80th anniversary of D Day and just wanted to give thanks to all those that fought for our freedom and remember those that didn’t make it back

Good morning all a nice fine sunny start to the day but more rain and wind forecast for later just when my competition tee time is scheduled
Yesterday was very windy and wet for the first day of the comp but cleared up later in the round and despite the conditions I didn’t play too bad and am currently leading. Just hope I can keep it up over the next 2 days.
It’s got 2 lovely courses here and despite them being championship courses, and very challenging, they’re really enjoyableThe hotel attached to the course, where we are staying, is really nice too
Hope you all have a great day and it involves golf

Hi from the sunny Lisbon, Portugal!
I'm a certified golf teacher and co-founder of https://screengolfers.com/ where you can find the best indoor golf venues near you in your city or state.
I mostly buy second-hand golf clubs (expect for the driver I got fitted for = Titleist TSR3 9.0, Mitsubishi Tensei Black X 75g, midsize grip Golf Pride velvet, half an inch shorter), but I really enjoy reading MyGolfSpy comparisons and playing around with different shafts, lie angles, heads, etc.
Thanks for welcoming me in the community.

Evening guys. Can you send some of the heat this way? It was rather chilly today with highs of 52, 40mph winds and persistent rain for the first 10 holes. It then dried up and the sun put in an appearance but it certainly made the golf challenging
Thankfully though despite the conditions I didn’t play too badly and am currently leading the competition with a stableford score of 29 points. Hopefully I’ll keep it going over the next 2 days and finish well.
Lovely course but very challenging -

Good morning all. A grey, wet, windy day here in north east England so could be an interesting round this afternoon. Played a nice little course yesterday on our way up to our tournament. Very picturesque but quite tight and the greens were unbelievably slow which made for quite a few 3 putt holes. Didn’t play too badly but those greens put paid to a decent score.
This was one of my colleagues on the tee.
Hoping that I can play better today and get in shape for the competition which starts in earnest tomorrow.
Hope you all have a great day- Cfhandyman, Byrnzee, Rob Person and 16 others

Morning all an early start for me to drive back to my home area in the north east of England to play in the International Police Association championships. Giving myself plenty of time to get there as you never know what the traffic is going to be like, especially with having to negotiate London during the morning commute but I’m not a great morning person
It’s been great following the Kingsmill adventures and looking forward to the final updates.
@Preeway enjoy your trip and Bandon Dunes, definitely a bucket list course.
@Silver Fawkes welcome backHope everyone has a good day and Monday isn’t too rough

Today is the start of my trip for the International Police Association UK championship. Leaving shortly to drive up to North Yorkshire where we will play a round at Masham Golf Club and stay overnight. Tomorrow we then drive to Slaley Hall Golf Resort in Northumberland and have a practice round in the afternoon on the Priestman course. Wednesday is the start of the competition, again on the Priestman course, and Thursday is the final day on the Hunting course. Both courses are PGA courses and have been used on the European Tour so looking forward to it.
Thursday evening I’m calling in to see some old work colleagues as Slaley Hall is only around 40 miles from where I am originally from before moving to London 18 years ago so will be good to catch up. -

Today is day 1 for my trip to Oregon to visit family and play Bandon Dunes. My itinerary?
Day 1: Drive to Cheyenne and have a beer or three with @Erin B
Day 2: Drive to Ontario, OR for the night
Day 3: Drive to Bandon and take in the beach before going to bed
Day 4: Play Bandon Crossings. Played here in high school back in the early 90s when it first opened. First links style course in OR that I know of. Not on par with Bandon Dunes courses but a grear warm up nonetheless.Day 5: Play Bandon Dunes in the morning and Bandon Trails in the afternoon. Caddy for both rounds and tip money is already set aside. Plan to hit a brewry and wood-fired pizza for dinner that night
Day 6: Drive to Albany to visit an friend from college and play a round together at his club then drive to Bend to visit my parents for a couple days
Day 7: Playing at Tetherow with my dad then hit a brewery or two in Bend
Day 8: Hang out in Bend for a day and visit with my parents for another day before making the trek home
Day 9: Drive to Salt Lake for the night.Day 10: Drive to Gothenburg, NE and if time permits, sneak in 9 holes with Erin B on the way back home
Day 11: Play a 7:30am round at Wild Horse before driving home to OmahaIt's an action packed vacation that I will likely need a vacation from when it's all over, lol.
Sounds like a great trip. Hope you have a fantastic time

London is a nightmare for driving! Not necessarily a bad thing in my line of work as it keeps me in a job
We have a big problem with delivery drivers on scooters who ride like lunatics and the standard of car drivers has definitely got worse over the years

Good morning all on a beautiful warm sunny start to the day here in London. Unfortunately no golf again today as need to get everything ready for my trip tomorrow and work through the Boss’ chores to cover being away for 4 days. If I’m lucky I might get to sneak to the range tonight.
The Kingsmill updates continue to be fantastic and hope you all enjoy your Sunday -

Today I went out to see what went wrong and shot 1 under the card...gross, so about 5 under my handicap for the 9. How the hell does everything go so wrong on one day and so right the next.
That’s golf! The part of it that confuses me is when I play like that I have absolutely no idea what I did any differently
