My final review is posted!!
Nice job! Shaving a stroke a round is awesome, so hopefully it continues to help your game moving forward.

We have an abundance of decent to good courses around here, N. KY, SW Ohio and SE Indiana. Bad thing is winters!! Wish I could play year round. My name came from an old bike club, type of bike, and the name of one of the only two of the nazgul named in the lord of the rings books.
There are a handful of us from your neck of the woods. What courses do you usually play?

Date 05/01/2024 Course Name Glenview West/South Gross Score 89 Course Handicap 8 Gross Strokes over/under par 17 Net Score to Par 9 Net Score 81 Net Birdies or better 0 Longest Drive 0 At the start of every year I usually play better than expected for the first few times out, and then it suddenly goes bad for a couple weeks. This like, like always, I played reasonable for three 9 hole rounds. Today was my first 18 of the year, and I was hoping to avoid the drop. The first two holes went well, then the drive on 3 was left, but OK. I had overhanging branches, but I thought I was clear based on my practice swings. Nope, caught them badly on the real swing, and it all went downhill from there. I had some good shots, but when I started playing "today's swing", and taking extra club, I got my good swing, and went long. (That does tell me a lot.) I hope to keep this year's "opening slump" as short as possible.
Please add slope and course rating, for the new format. Much appreciated.

It's such a weird spot to crack. I have seen on previous models, the face but never heard that location. TM has always been good about swapping though.
All in all the process took about 3 weeks from incident to replacement. In real time, a reasonable amount of time. In testing time, it meant half the testing period was spent waiting for a replacement.

As we all recall, there was a social media Blitzkrieg about the Gen 1 Stealth carbon faces having issues (micro-cracks, delamination). Those I know using them and speaking with them about this say, unequivocally, "poppy-cock", and quickly show me their driver faces which pretty much look like new. As someone who spent 30 years in aerospace working with both composites and titanium alloys, I'm actually impressed they can take the repeated impact so well. What might be happening subsurface (through the cross-section) could be a different story... dunno. I suspect TM did considerable life-cycle tests going into this face technology as that had to be a primary concern.
If TM has been experiencing chronic problems with these (as in customer returns), they have managed to keep a tight lid on it... which in today's on-line climate would be the 8th wonder of the world . Certainly cannot say for certain, but would guess your situation was an anomaly.
As one who has the Qi10 on the shortlist of new drivers, I'll be keeping an eye on this as well.
In the interest of clarity, mine cracked in two places on the rear of the driver. The point of origin appeared to be where the crown met the sole and it spidered from there. The face still looked pristine when I shipped it back.
I agree that the failure is most likely an anomaly, as none of the other testers have had any issues and I haven’t had any with the head I swapped @IndyBonzo for.
Overall, I think the QI-10 is a good line of drivers and if you go that route, you’ll be pleased. -

I entered course handicap into mine and not handicap. Do I need to change the value?
No.
despite the additional inputs, the only data points I need for now, are:
course name
gross score
slope
course rating
After week 5, this data will be used to determine a VCT round specific handicap that will allow for the placement of participants in the flights.
we are working with the developer to clean up the submission form to reflect what is actually being used, but we are a few weeks out on the changes.

@GolfSpy_BEN I’m trying to find something in the thread to colculate the course hdcp. I’m probably blind.
my GHAP sits at 9. And the course adjustment number for the tees I played is saying 112%. What am I missing??
The course handicap is based off of a calculation involving your handicap index and the course rating and slope. The easiest way to get the number is google course handicap calculator, input the numbers and it will give you your course handicap for the course in question. However, as we are moving away from course handicap this season, you can enter your handicap index into that space and include slope and course rating with your post and that will give me what I need

The input for long drive was inadvertently disabled. It will be back, with the caveat that long drive for each flight will be recognized in the weekly recap, but won’t be worth any bonus points in the season points total. Also, an input for actual birdies or better will be added with the same intent.

Okay to post nine hole rounds?
Yes. With the caveat, that slope and course rating be included with each nine. Unless it is the front and back of the same course and tee box played in 9 hole increments. Then a slope and course rating for the combined 18 would be acceptable

I'm actually really curious as to how the new format will shake things up. I've managed to stay at the top of the pack due to playing regularly (maybe more than once a week) and lucking out with some good scores and high net birdies. That was a function of my WHS handicap being pretty high and then getting a semi decent round in, though nothing most people on the forum would sneeze at. Numbers being what they are, I won out.
The new format is somewhat intriguing as I am currently understanding it. We all start off with a "blank" handicap that gets established in the first few weeks of play. Then we are organized into flights that will fluctuate as we progress through the season depending on how we play and place on the current leaderboard. This sets us up for the end of year tournament (or maybe some mid season events?!?) with comparative league stats vs. WHS standings. All pretty exciting IMHO.
Did I misunderstand @GolfSpy_BEN?
This is accurate. We will see how it shakes out over the course of the season, but it should allow us to recognize good performances across the spectrum of skill levels on a weekly basis

Date 04/24/2024 Course Name Maleny Golf Club Gross Score 80 Course Handicap 8 Gross Strokes over/under par 8 Net Score to Par 0 Net Score 72 Net Birdies or better Longest Drive Zooin on this pic. 2nd time ever playing this course and the member we played with ( only a 3 ball) had just finished telling us about the $50K the club had spent rectifying the first green as it was unplayable in the summer due to slope.
Result - 1 birdie and 2 pars. Yes - i got the birdie
Welcome to the VCT! I’ll need the slope and course rating when you get a chance, for the new format. Much appreciated!

I have 2 sets currently in my possession, that mostly fit the bill. Titleist T200/T150 combo set. I love the feel of the T150’s but the T200’s feel muted to me. They are great irons, but the search for “feel” led me to a combo set of ZX5/ZX7 MKII. It’s probably recency bias, but I am absolutely smitten with these irons and they will be my gamer set for this season. I’ve had a few sets of Srixon now, and these are the best irons Srixon has produced, bar none.
