Have you looked at the older Trusty Rusty grinds from Cobra? I quite literally wore the grooves off mine but it's a much smaller head than most wedges and the turf interaction was superb.

I did, hit a few on course. A buddy of mine had a 52 and 56. I did like those things. I don't however like swinging spatulas like most of the wedges on the market right now. I've said in a few other threads, square up that leading edge a touch on Edel's and I'm all over them.

Till then the quest continues. Wedges are my favorite clubs in the bag, it's too bad the small shops closed up. I'd like to see some more hand made stuff, big company stuff I think can be inconsistent and mass produced. I suppose everything can have variances but if I can find some blanks I'm gonna give it a shot, and probably fail.

A James Patrick grind is on my wishlist too. But I'm certain you're capable of turning out a satisfactory grind because nobody knows your game better.

This was my first ever attempt.

I call it the "Augusta Grind" and fully intend to put in play there someday.

It started out as a 60 degree Mizuno MP-T10. Just find a good deal on a head you like and get to grinding, see what comes out the other side.

I'm envisaging a Masters invite via USGA Mid-Am but barring that perhaps Make-A-Wish would take pity on this childish adult.

It occasionally works at the movie theater "One childish adult, please".

I grind all my own wedges because no one else can replicate what I want it seems. I also believe James is gone from Titleist as his social media pages have been rebooted. I used to get raw unground blanks from Scratch but they went belly up. I've found some kyoei blanks but you have to buy large quantities

In The Bag
Driver: TaylorMade M2 (2017) w/ Project X T1100 HZRDUS Handcrafted 65x
Strong 3 wood: Taylormade M1 15* w/ ProjectX T1100 HZRDUS handcrafted 75x
3 Hybrid: Adams PRO 18* w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4 Hybrid: Adams PRO 20* (bent to 21*) w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4-AW: TaylorMade P770 w/ Dynamic Gold Tour Issue Black Onyx S400

SW: 56* Scratch Tour Dept(CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
LW: 60* Scratch Tour Department (CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
XW: 64* Cally XForged Vintage w/ DG X100 8 iron tiger stepped
Putter: Nike Method Prototype 006 at 34"

Have a ton of back-ups in all categories, but there are always 14 clubs in the bag that differ depending on the course and set-up. Bomb and gouge. Yes, I'm a club gigolo.
