Golfspy_CG2
Yep. I've been here two years and it's honestly the best group of members and the best run forum of them all. No drama or trolling around here. Lotsof guys have come over from the other places. Our local contingent here is growing. Golfinvegas
That is good, missed the old group when we were having outings at Mattaponi, Renditions, etc. I joined a club out here (Silverstone) which went downhill and later closed and been a member of Paiute ever since. Don't have a steady group to play with, just a couple of guys I work with, play more with my wife and enjoy it more with her. Kids get out of school on 24th so we'll have early rounds together while they play their video games. Golfspy_CG2

Golfinnova/Vegas was around when we used to have regular monthly outings with usually at least 12 guys coming out. MDGolfhacker took the lead in planning alot of them, we called him our Julie McCoy (you may have to Google that one Stud). He also took great photos then as well. He'd show up looking like a photographer, covering the Masters. Then he went and had kids and I took over some of the organizing. Good memories. Mainly because I was younger and could hit more than 210 yards. Golfinvegas
Lol, that is so true about MdGolfHacker. He would do such a great job in organizing the outings. That is something that I miss the most out here because it doesn't exist being a 24-hour town. I'm trying to organize a summer league with my co-workers where we would play different courses but it will never get to the 12+ person outings we had back then. Every now and then I play the Vegas Golf Tour which is a cool relaxed par +3 max league and a Meetup group. Golfspy_CG2

MDGolfHacker
Hey there DMV golfers, Golfinvegas (formerly Golfinnova) John checking in, just brousing and came across some familiar names. Glad to see the DMV thread and find my friends from the old GC forums. Played a lot of rounds with GolfSpy Rob, MdGolfHacker and TheWahoo, great set of guys. Hard to believe it's already been 10 years since we left Ashburn for the bright lights of Vegas. Good thing is I get to play year round but I get so busy with life that I haven't played as much as I would like. If anyone is making the trip out here anytime soon and looking for a discount at Paiute, give me a shout and I'll hook you up. Have a good one! Looong time buddy! How's it going ?? It is great to see your post, my friend, it brings back some great memories of our days years ago. Back during my younger single days, my buds and I would hit Vegas at least 3 to 4 times a year. However, back then the Tropicana was at one end of the strip and the Sahara at the other, the Dunes was still across the street from the MGM, now Balleys. My last trip to Vegas was for an educational conference a few years ago. Because I was with some physicians, I was able to parasite them for a comp to Shadow Creek. I often wondered what it would be like if there were casinos back home. Now that they are, I have never been in one--time and age changes you, my friend, time and age changes you. Perhaps, some would call it maturity.
