Yeah what he did on the golf course was unbelievable. I always go back to the question "Who ya got Tiger or the field?" More often than not the correct answer after 4 days was Tiger. It doesnt suprise me at all that 2000 Tiger was statistically as good as their "superman holfer"

I could read Tiger stats for a long time without getting bored. Almost incomprehensible how good he was at his peak.

I got started really playing because of Tiger but I must say after reading an article with some excerpts from his new biography I am very sad that I ever liked him or played because of him. I hope he fails each week now.

Nothing in that WRX article is anything worse than what goes on in the rest of the world. Everything that argues the fact that this is blown way out of proportion because Tiger is who he is, would be too political to get into on these boards. Sometimes your heroes aren't who you think they are, such is life. With that said, to hold him to a higher standard of human being than others because he's the GOAT is crazy.

Hate to say it, but try not to read anything about Arnold Palmer's off course antics.

Or Sam Snead

Or Greg Norman

Or Nick Faldo

Re: Tiger 2000. I really wonder how much different that year could have been if the majority of the PGA Tour would have been using mutli layer cast urethane balls as well.

Read Dead Solid Perfect some time.  It's fiction, but it's not made up.

I wonder why Tiger isn't in the hall of fame yet? anyone know?

Players must be at least 50 years old or 5 years retired from competition.

Tiger did more for the game than any other individual ever.  When he was at his best I do not believe anyone before or since has played at that level.  Many of the players he competes against today are products of his success.  79 wins, 14 majors (including Grand Slam), lowest scoring avg ever, and the list goes on.

But yea I'm one of those guys that didn't like him.  I didn't like his attitude when things weren't going his way (throwing clubs, cursing, etc.), while not his fault I hated when he would get more airtime than the leader, and if I'm going to be honest I really didn't like the fact that he threatened Jack 's major wins record.

Now I'm pulling for him.  What a great story it would be if he could come back and win.  He is older, hopefully wiser, and I hope he gets better.  Just not more than 3 more majors better.

Lol remember when Faldo left his 2nd wife and their kids for a college student? Then when that one trashed his Porsche with a 9 iron?
