Shankster
Thanks Bens, and MPR for the idea. Other than Tigers Scotty, is there a more iconic club on tour than Henrik’s 3 wood? All I can think of is the boys in the barracks when Tom Highway comes in to meet the Swede... Just the hype part, not the take down part. josmi15, perseveringgolfer, JohnSmalls and 2 others
GolfSpy MPR
Fun question. I would have to imagine that some of the veterans here can come up with classic examples. I'm modern golf, it is hard to think of examples of a club more associated with a specific player than the ones you've mentioned. I think most golf fans would be about to identify Jordan's Scotty. Would Langer and other guys with long putters count? Would Langer and other guys with long putters count?Actually Langer has a different affect in the modern game. He was one of the first players to use the arm lock grip back in the early 90’s but did it with more of a conventional putter. If you look at the clip of him missing the putt on the final hole of the 1991 Ryder Cup you can see how he used the arm lock. I think he won a Masters with the same grip as well but my memory is a bit foggy from the 90’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote WITB 2024 Driver: Qi10 LS 9* Ltd.
