I speculated that they would be updating the model when the 2019s were 2 for $55! I figured they would increase it but they still have that 2 for $60. For $30 a dozen I’ll for sure try them out! Dcape
I played the 2019 version of the Tour all of 2020 and really thought the ball played really well in all parts of the game. A poor persons Pro V. I have picked up a box of the new 2021 Tour and have played them for about a month and a half. I think the new ball is 5-10 yards shorter off the tee and spins more off the mid irons which tends to have it drop out of the air a bit quicker. my driver swing speed is 87-91 usually about 228-235 off the tee and I Carry my 7I about 144 on avg. I like the older version better!!
Middler
With the shortages on Snell Blacks, and an uncooperative Snell website this morning, I just bought two dozen MaxFli Tours for $60. If not for the mostly favorable MGS review, I never would have strayed - first time using anything but Snell for 4-5 years. We'll see. tony@CIC 1 Quote Titleist TSR2 11° HZRDUS Red CB 50 6.0 w Lamkin UTx Midsize Titleist TSR2 16.5º HZRDUS Red 60 CB 6.0 & TSR2 21º HZRDUS Black 4G 70 6.0 w Lamkin UTx Midsize Mizuno JPX923 HMP 4-GW, T22 54.12WS, T22 58.04DC w Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid Midsize Evnroll EV5.3 Maxfli Tour & ProV1 Ping Pioneer - MGI Zip Navigator AT Payntr X 002 LE, Ecco Biom C4, Payntr X 001 F (Mesh)

As stated in my MGS testing, I found both of these balls to be of great value and performance. For me, the Tour performed a little better in distance but otherwise the difference was negligible. I played these against ProV1's and found them to be equal; except I would give Titleist the nod in durability (scuff resistance). My testing did not show any off the tee or putting benefit with the "CG Controlled" feature; but my salt bath tests confirmed they are (at least my two dozen balls) true to their word... so, unlike so many other marketed features, at least you get what your paying for. Presently, the Maxfli Tour, ProV1, and Snell MTB are my preference... though I'm not really sure why. I was just about to ask if anyone had float tested them. So their cores were centered? Meaning a different spot floated to the top each time? Or they had just marked their alignment line on the light side so that spot came up consistently? tony@CIC 1 Quote Instagram: @tony_rosselli_ Training Pre training max driver speed: 124mph Current: 130mph WITB: Driver: G425 Max, 9* Woods: 2007 Burner TP 3 wood and 5 wood Irons: Z765 4-PW (1 degree flat) with KBS $-130 shafts Wedges: SM7 50/12/F, 54/10/S and 58/12/D Putter: L.A.B. I bought 2 dozen of the Tour (not the X) and floated them last week. I wanted to see if the alignment line would tell me anything. All of the 24 balls were in balance - in that a different spot came up each time. There was no "light side" for the alignment line to be placed on. Small sample size but excellent results. I did float 3 of the 2019 Tour left in my bag - 1 of them had a heavy side - but of course they didn't have the alignment line. Still 1 out of 3 was surprising considering the 0 out of 24 for the 2021 balls.
