Tiger turns down high 9 figures

If this is true, what a statement by Tiger. Legacy means more than the money *at least for some of these guys*

My Google feed us flooded with these articles. 

I mean he must have more then enough money for several lifetimes so what difference would another stupid amount be?

My question on this is why Greg Norman would say this?  To me, this statement only hurts your brand. Tiger, who in all reality, may never be in a Sunday final pairing again, turns down a “mind blowingly enormous” amount of money and says basically that he would rather play and lose than take your guaranteed money, shows that it will never be worth it.  If I were GN, I would have kept this as quiet as possible and even gone so far as to deny it.  Not a good PR look.

I agree. Tiger doesnt need to earn another dime in his life, but neither does DJ, yet he still jumped at the money.

Norman is a narcissistic ego maniac. He lacks the ability to see that someone turning him down could be perceived negatively. It's all about the fact that he's able to brag about the offer number

Part of the reason why I could never stand to see him in contention when he played and was very happy when Nick won at Augusta when GN had his meltdown.  I really don't like to watch golfers have bad days and really want most to do their best, but that day ...
