GolfSpy_APH
Philip did a great article on the UTX Grips here: https://mygolfspy.com/we-tried-it-lamkin-utx/ in the We Tried It series. He's also given a bunch of responses in the comments. I'm for sure in the corded grip camp and have used/put these on a backup set of irons which I have since sold. Loved the grip overall and are ones I may look at installing on future irons when they need to be regripped. Have you tried these? russtopherb
My favorite grip. Whenever I see them on sale I stock up on midsize. I disagree with his comments about glove wear. I've never seen an issue. bens197
I am a big Lamkin fan. I love the sonar wrap with calibrate for its tackiness and while I do not play the UTx, fellow member of the no-glove army @chisag has said said for years that this grip (UTx) is the cats meow for tackiness. sirchunksalot and GolfSpy_APH 2 Quote PING G400 LST Mitsubishi Tensei White 60X TaylorMade SIM2 3 wood Fujilkura Ventus Blue 7-X Titleist U505 2 Tensei 1K Black 85 X Titleist T100 4-P Nippon Modus 3 120X PING S159 50-S 55-H 59-T DG X100 L.A.B. rkj427
Have the UTx grips on my Titleist irons, and current woods. Recently bought a set to replace the grips on my current Mizuno irons after this season ends. Also play without a glove, and I would recommend that you wipe them off with a damp towel between/before your next shot to keep the tackiness. For me, the .580 core over a .600 shaft makes them the right size without the need of additional wraps.
