Thats why I just dropped the 2500 on membership w cart at Cream Ridge.  Sometimes scrambling for tee times is a pain and a drive. I played over 20x in the past 40 days since I joined so it will save $, but variety is always wanted. I was going to join Spring Meadow in Farmingdale for same price but cart is still extra $20 even w membership so it turns out to same price as West Lake in Jackson where my parents live and is a nicer course. I just dont like the fact you need to tuck in your shirt and take hat off entering the clubhouse. Feels too elitist and I dont like presenting hat head to everyone esp in summer. Weird rules. 

 I really enjoyed being a member at Lakewood as its 5 mins away and always in good shape, and plays very different depending on tees you pick but they just decided no memberships this year. So Ill supplement my Cream Ridge with Hot Deals this year. Just not Forged Pond, the very last choice for all

Agreed on Forge Pond. Probably closest to my house and have played the fewest times because the 2 times were not fun. I think I lost a box of balls there once.

Clearbrook twilight membership caught my eye for sheer value as I do 1pm or later most times anyway and walk for the exercise $650 annually could conceivably be $2 or 3 per 9 holes and I could play daily weather permitting anywhere from 9 to 27. 

I'd have the urge to supplement, as you said, so starting with a small financial commitment to get a bulk of my practice in might actually open up money to play some premier places I usually avoid based on cost.

Figure I'd throw this out there:

TopGolf in Mt. Laurel has 1/2 price Tuesday promotion where bay rentals are $23 per hour I think. 

It's about an hour drive from me in central NJ so it's not something I'm going to do more than once probably. But seeing as I got $100 gift card for Christmas and using it all at once is the most logical thing to do with it, I'm in the position to have 4 hours in a TopGolf all paid for.

Seems like a good chance for a local area meet up. Let me know if anyone has Tuesdays open and would want to join in.

Im a member at https://www.golfcave.com/ and they have 24 hour access to trackman for members. 100/month gives you 2 hours additional hours are $40. The hours roll over month to month if you dont use them. Ive played many midnight sessions. 

Also you can gather all your data and have reports/swing videos sent to your email if you learn a few steps on the trackman software. Has been super helpful dialing in distance and issues. Also the courses are fun and auto putt makes its quicker.

Funny, I have a job application in there currently.  I've spoken to one of the owners via txt and he was very nice.

He sent me a free hour of play to check it out for showing interest.

Any Intel on Cream Ridge? I'm going for 9 holes at twilight. We haven't gotten a ton of rain, but i imagine it's soggy in places?

Hi Rich9!

 

I played in a charity outing at Creamridge a few weeks ago and the best part of that course was always the green complexes & conditions in my opinion.  The course is pretty much in front of you, but the greens are the defense to the course.  The greens were in fact in very good shape, smooth with nice pace and overall I enjoyed the round.  That course does tend to get a bit sloppy with rain so I'm guessing the amount of rain from yesterday/last night will make it a bit wet.  Enjoy and let me know what you think of it!

Course keeps improving its condition and removing debris from the tornado. Some trees that were obstacles are now gone, hole 18 specifically.  That being said, its been raining for 24 hours straight so it will be soggy. But the more I play here, the more I appreciate the greens. However, they will not play the same when very wet. I played 36 holes Friday and it was very nice. Only issue is they have high school tournaments from 3 pm on and pace comes to a stand still almost. Let us know how it goes

I played great 41 on the front 9. 19 putts, definitely the challenge here. It was wet, but not overly soggy. Hole 7-8 were the area with the most standing water, but I avoided it. 

Used the same 2 balls the whole time. Oncore Elixir cut the wind as marketed. If not for 2x 3 putts (#2 & 9) and a chunked PW on #7 after a perfect drive, I'd be very pleased.

Still, 6/7 FW 5/9 gir 5 pars 3 bogey and a double is a 1/2 round I'd be amazed with a couple months ago. Shows the improvement I've made my expectations have risen.

Oh yeah I forgot about hole 8. Yeah after the water hazards its often marshy. Tricky hole too. Glad you liked it. Pretty good course for learning and practicing on especially putting. Much preferred to Gamblers Ridge

Yes I agree KOG, Creamridge is a much better track than Gambers Ridge.  Rich9 sounds like a success on a somewhat difficult conditions day... well done!

Slater how were the conditions at GR?  They usually aren't great but maybe they have improved since I've been there last.  NOT my choice of course to play but usually not too crowded & easy to get on if you're stuck with not getting anything else.

Easy to get on....yes.

Not ideal conditions, CPO, ranger had different rules than the starter and cashier (not in a good way).  Won't go back until it dries out late fall.

I played Gambler Aug 11th it was pretty much what I expected. 

Last week I made it to Hopewell Valley for the 1st time. I really liked that course, fun setup.
