Mrsbell89
IMG_4925.mov I wanted to share this video of my 14 year old son figuring out his drives. He’s been so defeated because he’s been battling a case of the hooks so this lesson was just the confidence boost he needed. His favorite club is his cobra 5 wood and if his coach would let him, it would be the only club he’d carry IMG_4925.MOV Edited May 8 by Mrsbell89 Well nvm. rkj427
@Mrsbell89 nice video, and the most important part is that he continues to enjoy the game, even though we all get frustrated at times. Just got in from a membership meeting our car club has monthly at Leader Dogs for the Blind, and we were shown a video that I will post in the "Random Thread." Storms here at this time, and massive amounts of rain, but hoping to get out tomorrow for a round myself. Will need it to stop and course to somewhat dry out beforehand. The video is all about overcoming adversity with determination and a positive "CAN DO" outlook. Dead Solid Bogey
Good evening MGS…. The heat was on, but fortunately the humidity dropped during the day. Still engaged the heat index protocols as it early in the “ Hot as Hell “ season, known as spring in other parts of the country. Had a couple of the youths get a tad woozy. Neither had ever worn FRC gear before. I have had to deal with Nomex / FRC clothing for nearly 1/2 century. You freeze wearing them in the winter ( although you can mitigate the cold by dressing in layers under the FRC’s ) and broil in them in the heat… Live and learn… The triple digit heat is suppose to stay with us for at least one more day. Hands and wrists had a good day while the rest of the body tried detoxing by sweating profusely. Enjoy the rest of your golf therapy ( community call ) eve. rkj427
Good evening Spies. Picture-perfect weather day here, especially for golf, but alas FedEx was delivering my Motocaddy for testing, so I ended up staying home and waiting patiently for them. It arrived late afternoon, and I was able to unbox and get it set-up and ready to go. Unfortunately, weather here turns for the worse for the next 3 to 4 days, so it may be Sunday at the earliest that I can get it out on its maiden test run. Will be spending as much time as need tonight making a post on the Motocaddy test with my pictures and comments. ZoonORama
Good evening all! Just got back from Grapevine, TX. where I was running 1000mph at a conference for work. You know the kind, spend all day on your feet walking miles to meetings and meeting customers then spending all evening entertaining them along with Al K. Hall. Makes for long days and nights. I am home, in my PJs and relaxing at the moment. I did get to take my clubs and play Cowboy’s Golf Club near the Gaylord Texan Resort (where we held the conference). It was a really nice course but the night before delivered about 3-4” of rain so it was wet. Cart path only and a scramble format to boot. Had a great time and the best feature was the frozen Jack and Coke icee machine at the turn. You could get Cherry or Vanilla flavor added too. Yes please. I want one of those machines. The last several holes were a blur but we did shoot par. I would love to go back when it is not as wet and really give the course a go. Have a wonderful evening all. Sleep well and dream of low scores. Cheers! Wheelieb
So I have an old Craftsman LT1500 riding lawnmower. The upper drive belt finally gave out and rendered it immobile. That’s fine, kind of figured it was gonna happen. Anyhow, got a new belt and went to install it and found that in order to get it on the biggest pulley you have to take the whole transmission off the frame and push it away from the frame in order to get the new belt on. I spent the better part of 4 hours trying to figure this out before I googled it. Did all that just to find out that the belt I have is too small but it’s the right part…I did go to the range prior, so my day wasn’t fully shot.
