Eduard
I have the Garmin R10, I love that it makes a driving range session much more focused, and slowing down the pace, focusing on what actually happened, I don't know exactly how accurate it is, and no doubt there are more accurate once, but matching feel to some of the numbers is already helpfull, even if it isn't 100% accurate! RuttyB
I don’t currently own a launch monitor but I am planning on putting one in over the next couple of months. I was initially looking at the Mevo+ Limited Edition but lately the more I look at my build and the time I would take it outdoors, the more I think I want an overhead. Right now the ProTee VX is high on the list. It’ about double the Mevo+ in cost, but cheaper than other overhead models as well as no ball/club stickers to worry about, Overhead helps with the space needed too. My wife says “go for it” so I have started researching into the purchase. I’ll post an update once I pull the trigger. Popular Post MattF
I have a launch monitor/sim in a Skytrak ST+. I like it because it's a camera based system with a radar so it's quite accurate, you only need enough space to swing the club and I can play a round of golf on it as well. bsimpfen
Got the Garmin R10 due Covid lockdown. Made a make shift simulator in my basement in Vermont for the long winters. Worked well. Now living in Williamsburg, VA I don’t find myself using it a ton. But that’s mostly because of having to drag a 7 and a 4 year old with my to the course most of the time so I can golf. Loved getting the feedback (not that it helped me improve). Had a few lessons with a Pro that utilized track man and WOW! wish I could afford that! MissionMan
SkyTrak plus I got it because our practice nets at the golf club don’t have any space to set up a launch monitor behind, and we don’t have a driving range. wanted something to gauge how my swing was going because I noticed the nets can be deceptive, potentially leaving you in a position where you don’t know if you have a slight pull or push. I’m pretty happy with it so far, although I’d love a GC Quad due to the face impact information. Alternatively, would be good if Skytrak released face impact info as part of a future software upgrade. SDunne
Don't have one but love the idea of one - getting feedback on numbers and quality of what you're doing at the range would be a massive help and also push me more towards buying a backyard net and setup so you don't need to go as far to get good quality practice in. Agree they're getting more affordable but if you want one that does a lot, it's still a big investment. xXxVUDUxXx
I have the garmin r10. I like how simple it is and the price was unbelievable. That being said I wouldn't mind to have a optical unit like a bushnell, gcquad, or a skytrak plus. The space requirements fit my available space better. BShizzle
I started with a Garmin R10 and it was a pleasant enough experience, but I wanted to upgrade to something a bit more professional. The next monitor was the Full Swing Kit. This unit seemed to be quite accurate at the range, but it was still early days so the net performance was still getting dialed in. I kind of felt like a beta tester; which wasn’t great at that price point. My net and mat were in the back yard (due to space requirements for the radar) so everything needed to be set up and taken down on each use. Ultimately I sold the Full Swing Kit and switched to a photometric unit with the Bushnell Launch Pro. I had avoided this due to the subscription costs, but ended up going this route because the unit received such high marks and is reliable enough to use the metrics to work on my swing. The data and performance is rock solid. I ended up getting a screen for for my Spornia XL8 net and can now hit in the garage with the smaller footprint. -Bushnell Launch Pro - GsPro and FSX Play Software -Spornia XL8 with their projection screen -Viewsonic PX748 4k projector -MSI Raider gaming laptop Dale69, Rob Person, SDunne and 6 others 6 3 Quote WITB: Paradym drivers and irons. 18 handicap searching for better drives!
