Hey everybody. New guy from Texas/Oklahoma aka Texoma. I'm a golf lover (obviously). I'm not sure how much the game loves me, but it's coming along.

Just saying hi and seeing if anyone is making their way out to Colonial this weekend. I don't think I'm going to make it which disappoints me because I've never been. I have to get down there one of these days to see yet another course that the great Perry Maxwell helped design. I have been a member at the first course he designed and built which was previously his dairy farm (Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, OK). I did make it out to one day of the Byron Nelson last week and had a great time on the 17th.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone especially those who've served our great nation! Thanks!

Haha. Sorry. Born in Oklahoma, grew up and graduated high school in Texas, then made my way back to Oklahoma for college (THE Oklahoma STATE University after a short stint elsewhere) and work. I understandably get grief from both sides. I think I've just recently spent more time residing in Oklahoma than Texas (16 > 14 or so), so I guess I'm more of an Okie now. My nephew always asks my brother why he roots for OSU when they live in Texas. Kids.

I do believe I have heard why it is windy in Tejas. I've also heard "why doesn't Texas fall into the Gulf of Mexico" among many others. Haha. Thanks.

Welcome Jodo. I'm an infrequent poster here but your reference to the Colonial got my attention since I once lived in Ft. Worth. I've played Colonial and also Dornick Hills although it was many years ago. Dornick Hills is an excellent course. Certainly in my top 10 favorite courses. Welcome.
