While the 2015 season has officially started, many of us don't start following until it's actually 2015 or even as far out as The Masters.  Here is a preview of the Majors (what we all REALLY care about)  and a few predictions.

Masters Champ - Bubba....back to back, baby

US Open Champ - Tiger....he comes roaring back

The Open Championship - A NIKE staffer....one of them will win it

PGA Championship - Rickie Fowler....finally breaks through with a Major win

 

FEDEX Cup Winner - Rickie Fowler

Player of the Year - Rickie Fowler....that Fly-Z lineup is baller

Comeback Player of the Year - Tiger Woods....is there really any doubt.  I think the Tiger/Rory dominance hype comes to head this year, to the benefit of NIKE of course

Rookie of the Year - Tony Finau....dude hits it a mile and can putt

Thats what it's all about.  I want everybody to tell me their predictions and why I'm wrong.

Well in short:

 

Tigers body won't allow him back to anything like his old best - he might win again, but a major? I'd be surprised. He's now missed so much golf, had so many injuries.

 

Fowler - I hope he wins a major, but he needs to win more often first for me - he just hasn't got over the line enough.

 

Not a huge Rory fan (amazing talent - when he's hot I don't think anyone can get close), but I get the feeling he's going to be quite dominant for a few years, I'd rather see Rose or Kuchar winning.

 

The Open at St Andrews will be low scoring (unless the weather is really bad) - for me that opens it up massively; could be the hardest to predict of the majors. If someone like Fowler was going to win - that might be the one.

US open: Winner will originate from a country in between the arctic and Antarctic circles

The open: Will not be won by someone of Malaysian decent

PGA: Will be over 4'11"

 

My powers tell me one or possibly all winners will wear a white hat at least once.

Going out on a limb, I see....

 

Liking Rory for the Masters - career grand slam and he seems to do well after upheaval, so maybe the Chubby court case will be good for him.

 

US Open - just 'cause I'm old and sentimental, it's gonna be Phil

 

Open Championship - love watching golf on the Old Course - choosing G-Mac

 

PGA - y'all have me talked into it - Rickie's the guy - and he will shock the world by actually curving the bill of his cap.
