Never had this happen in a tournament before...

Like many of you, I try to take something out of every round because no matter how many rounds you play, you're always forced to play a shot maybe you haven't played before.

 

So, I'm playing a 2-day tournament and we're on hole #4 today. I've playing okay, but that's not the point. It's a long par-5 and the tee box sits rather close to a fence which is covered by several large trees. As I move to address the ball, I feel a splash of water against my shorts - something like when you're standing inside the radius of a sprinkler, but don't know it.

 

I stop, look to my left and see a little boy semi-hidden by the foliage with a super-soaker water gun looking at me like "Got ya sucker!

 

I told him there was a golf tournament going on and it would probably be best if he didn't jump out from the trees and start water gunning unsuspecting people. I was nice about it (I have kids of my own and I'm sure he was just messing around) but I had to laugh. Never had that happen before.
