Went out for 9 holes yesterday with my dad and brothers and couldn’t hit anything. Had one chip-in, and one decent drive. Other than that I couldn’t even hit the ball, ended with a 56.
I couldn’t leave that going into the weekend, so I went back to the same course for another 9 this afternoon and started on the 10th hole. All of a sudden I was making good contact, and shot a 42.
Golf doesn’t make any sense, man!

First to get an eagle? Or first to miss an eagle putt?
Yes, I'm still here to taunt you.
Well now I know who won’t be winning a prize in the “random” draw…

As little as possible for me:
Couple of long wooden tees (I'll scavenge short/broken ones if not hitting driver)
Divot tool
Custom made ball marker
Spare ball if the tee is a bit of a walk from the bag.
Do you have a picture of the ball marker? I’m always interested in custom stuff, there are a lot of cool ball markers out there.

Picked up an AirTag to hide in my golf bag in case something happens to it. Figured the snake emoji was appropriate for a bag full of Cobra clubs!

The hi rev shafts are very very good on any partial shot. I find them to have a lot of feel and they definitely reward smooth swings. The only difficulty I have is with full shots but then again maybe it’s a sign I don’t need full shots on my wedges. My gap wedge has the 135x hi rev and I find that to withstand full swings a little better than the 125 version. Overall I think it is a solid wedge shaft as I have historically just matched my irons through all my wedges.
I've noticed the same thing with the Hi-Revs. Smooth swings (anywhere from 50% to 90%) feel great and are super consistent. Full swings though I have a bit of a tougher time. Honestly I'd rather have that than the opposite, which is what I experienced with my last wedges (Cleveland CBXs with the Dynamic Gold 115 Wedge shaft).

Alright gents, what do you think about those snakebite wedges?
Has anyone noticed as big a drop off in spin performance when wet as the wedge test shows? I feel like the MIM Blacks are all around great wedges, so I was surprised to see that big a drop off in spin on the 50 yard wet shot.
I haven't noticed a massive difference, but I don't generate much spin with wedges to begin with.
With the Radspeeds though there is a noticable difference out of the rough vs out of the fairway. I consistently get about half a club more distance out of the rough.

I'm always curious to see what people have in their pockets when they golf. Do you have a few coins that you jingle before you putt? Do you have a special ballmarker, or a custom divot tool? Wood tees or plastic?
Here's what I always have in my pocket:
I don't always have the ball in my pocket, just when I'm reading a putt. Setting it back down right before I hit it is part of my pre-shot routine.
I carry two tees with me - I use the 2 3/4" one with my driver, and the 1" one for fairway woods, hybrids, and long irons. With short irons and wedges I'll hit directly off the turf. A single plastic tee will usually last me 3 or 4 rounds.
The divot repair tool is nothing special, just a punched piece of steel. However, it came from the golf bag that my granddad gave to me and my brothers 10 years ago, so it has some sentimental value.
And finally, the ball marker. When I was a kid I used to collect hat pins - I got this one during a visit to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado (my family lived just outside Denver until I was about 7 years old). I cut the pin spike off the back of it and filed it down, and now I have a piece of my childhood reminding me to man up and not leave my putts short every time I'm on the green!
So what's your pocket grab today? Share a picture and tell us the story!

Want to see something really funny? Most of us in the Honma driver testing still haven’t gotten our drivers…..this week a couple of us arrived home to find a box on the porch from Honma
Really exciting!!!! Until you open it
yep that’s right nothing in the full size club box but a head cover and a wrench
That's hilarious!
I actually have an acquaintance who lives in Houston who just switched to a Honma driver. Unfortunately he is only able to get out on weekends because he's a FedEx driver and his work runs too late to get afternoon rounds in...

How many of you are still missing clubs?
One of us is missing irons, and one is missing fairway woods.

At this point in time the 2021 challenge should be held over until the new line in 2022
Either that or bring in a new batch of challengers in 2022 to take on the “old guard”.

so the tracer isn't an app on your phone but something you add afterwards on the computer?
Yeah. I believe they have a phone app as well but I prefer the larger screen on my desktop for video editing. In either case the tracer is added on after you record the video.

I purchased a one-year subscription to the ShotTracerPro app for Mac.

As evidence, here's the forecast:
The one bright side is that it will make it a lot easier to get tee times.

That's kind of what I thought, but I started to wonder since it's September. Looking forward to when you guys do begin!!!
All I know is that at this point, I will really be putting the rails on the woods and hybrids to the test hitting out of some muddy lies!

That one was eyeballing you for a bit. Not sure I would have been able to concentrate on the shot either....Well Done
I edited it out of the video, but I actually stepped back off the tee the first time I went to place the ball because it was huffing and snorting at me.

Ran into a herd of elk a few holes later.
I was a little nervous - there was a bull elk just off screen in the trees bugling every few minutes, and a few of the closer elk were snorting at me like they didn't want me there. Made it a bit tough to be totally focused on the shot, so I blocked the 8-iron a little bit right.

I’m not having a particularly stellar round at the moment, but man is Prospector Golf Course beautiful!
This is the view from the 10th tee. Made par here after a 269-yard 3 wood off the tee - we’ll see if I can keep it going after a rough front 9 and see how many more holes I can get in before I run out of sunlight.

TXG did a review of it - this might at least help you get a better idea of whether it could be a good fit for your game.
