Adams CB1 Opinions?

Hey guys. Just looking for an opinion or if anyone has had any experience with the Adams CB1 Irons. I have an opportunity to purchase a set of like new 4-P With Project X 6.0 riffled shafts for a song. I currently game the Adams A4r and I really like them but would love to pick up a forged Iron. I know they are an older design. But, what do you think?

I used to play them and got rid of em,  I was around a 10 hcp at the time but have never been a strong iron player.  Regretted it after a while.  I play the CMB's now and love them,  I would say they are similar in difficulty to hit.  If u are a decent ball striker then they are great irons.  I see your hcp is 15,  I would go to your local shop or get on ebay and see if maybe you can get on old demo to decide before you buy the whole set.  Good Luck!!

These are my current Irons.  Love them. Very consistent flight and distances for me. I am not the strongest iron player in the world, but these are not leaving the bag any time soon.  The only issue for me is the durability of the finish.  The black finish does get pretty chewed up. So if you are one of those guys that has iron covers, look for a different set, otherwise, it is really tough to go wrong with CB1's

I play CB2 long irons and CB1 short irons in a set I got off the Adams tour van and love them. They're soft forgings and they're very forgiving. I paired mine with Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400's and I've had another set that I paired with KBS Tours. They're, to me, the best iron I've ever hit and I've had Miura, Nike Split Cavity Protos, Titleist 681T's and others off their van, TMag RAC TP's off the van, etc. I've already vowed to never sell this set after foolishly selling the last set.

 

I'm considering stripping the PVD finish on them too.

Thanks for all the info guys. I had to buy them. I literally fell on the floor when I saw the price tag!......... $59.95 I couldn't pay for them and get them out the door fast enough! They look like they were maybe used once and they have Iomic grips installed on them! They're pink! But they're Iomics! Can't wait to get them fitted up and hit some balls. Thanks again for the info guys...
