tommc23
Well the final major of the year is just a few weeks away. We started talking about the British open not long after the US open so why not talk about the PGA. With Kuchar having good success this past week I'm pulling for him to win. I'd like to see him finally get a major. Sent from my LG-H820 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
chershey
It would also be fun to see Spieth pull it off. To achieve the career grand slam at that early an age would be amazing. I would also really like to see Fowler get his first or see Rory get back on track and win another major. Shankster
I hope it's not a blow out. Everyone was really fighting for 3rd or 4th in the past two. Kind of lack luster. I'll give Spieth a for this last one, or it would have just been a stroll into the winners circle. BK owned Erin Hills, and The Masters was probably my favorite so far this year. All the big hitters need to get their crap together. If the Top 15 were all on fire at the same time... wow. That would be something. Golfspy_CG2
Rory McIlroy isn't it kind of considered his defacto home course. So could be a good call there. Or at least he's had some good success there. Of course that was before they tore up like 3 or 4 holes and rebuilt it. i think this one will play a lot like a US Open setup, meaning it's very treeline and defined fairways. That could spell trouble for Jordan and his wayward driver. I'm calling for DJ to win. I don't know what happened on Sunday at Royal Birkdale, but it seemed like he was rounding back into form. And it won't get better with the PGA. No matter how good the golf or competition is, it never feels all the way like a major. Maybe they should swap out the PGA with The Players on the major circuit. At least it's got a legitimate identity and some seriously exciting finishing holes. I'm with you. If DJ can't win, I'd like to see Rickie take it. However, the thing about Rickie is he's so inconsistent that he's only going to win a major if everyone falls back and he just maintains. He'd have to start the final round in spots 5-10, post a good score, and have no one beat it. I'm just not sure he's clutch enough to knock it out and take it home from the lead. TheWahoo
It's difficult to follow up a great round tournament with another great round tournament. This one's Rickie's. As I have stated often, I would love to see Rickie get the major monkey off of his back. But, I am beginning to wonder if he ever will. In the majors, he seems to find a way to clutch a defeat out of the jaws of victory. Never the less, I am still hoping. The golf commentators have noted that no one has achieved the career grand slam by winning the PGA, it has always been winning one of the other majors. The PGA kept Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson from the career grand slam. I wonder why, I have no idea.

The PGA kept Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson from the career grand slam. I wonder why, I have no idea. My theory on why nobody has completed the grandslam by winning it is, "Its hard to win the career Grand Slam" By nature at least over the past 20 years or so, the PGA tends to have some obscure winners..Shaun Micheel, I'm looking at you. Players that are not very likely to win 3 other majors in their careerss. yes there have been some really good players to win it, Rory, Tiger and Phil. That is 3 of the best players of the last 20 years and only one of them has the career GS, winning one of those other three, let alone all three of them, just doesn't happen very often. Not sure, I'm making my point very clearly, but I could simplify it by saying it's the "easiest" of the three to win, so everyone generally has it out of the way by the time the career Grand Slam comes into conversation for them.
