No, I'm being serious, in my "defense" of him.  I can understand how you and others may dislike him, I know the "talking to the ball" and the constant backing off an back on a shot and the disbelief when a shot doesn't got where planned, can irritate some.  But to me I enjoy watching him play.   I'm no where near like some are ready to put him in the same discussion as Tiger Woods, but i do not believe we've seen a player with the mental toughness he has, come along since possibly Woods.

yeah, I gotta believe there is no way in the world a Tour Pro is carrying two different balls in the bag during a tourney, or even during practice for that matter.  Too easy to forget about it and have it in there during the round.  No possible way.

Please refer to minute 12 when you can see the club laid on the ground well behind him and pointed a complete different direction as which he hits the ball.

As for finding the right ball I'm sure that everyone marks a ball the same way Jordan does. Also a prov1x in that section of the hill from the range marked just the way he does is a super small probability.

But I have a feeling the longer Spieth plays and the more successful he becomes (assuming he does) the bigger lighting rod he'll become.  And that should make for some interesting and fun threads!!

So this picture brings up something I've been wondering for a  while.

 

So is it "allowed" now to take pictures during the action, by fans?   Or is it something that is just so out of control the tours, PGA, European and USGA don't even bother trying to enforce, figuring it's a losing battle.    Look at all the fans taking pics/videos in the background.

I think fans are only allowed to take photos during practice rounds. Just too many people do it now; they can't really control it.

yeah, that was my understanding as well, pictures only during practice rounds and  no video at any time.   But yeah, it looks like they realize it's a losing battle, and I guess leave it to caddies to dress down any fans they feel are distracting their guy.

Yeah, I think the by the last time they had the AT&T at Congressional, a year or two ago, they were probably still trying to enforce it.   

When i was at the Senior Players Championship at Caves Valley a couple weeks ago, it didn't appear that they were enforcing it at all.

 

Matter of fact Paul Goydos was on a green about to putt and a guy was taking a video,   Goydos backed off the putt, put his hands on his hips and stared straight at the guy, who meekly put the phone down and apologized.   Goydos said, "no not you, it was the guy in the cart up there" and pointed to staff member driving a cart past the hole on the cart path...LOL

A few weeks ago the European Tour started allowing fans cell phone pictures.

I say this about a lot of things even in the workforce, the R&A guys let all of it transcribe the way it did therefore nothing can be blamed on speith. He was given the time and was allowed to take his shot just like at work if management let's something fly there isn't much to say about it after that. Speith was just using every good angle in the rules that he could and really we should applaud the fact that this shows if you know the rules like these guys do then you know how to give yourself the best lies possible.

 

Just like when tiger had the crowd move a boulder for him, he asked if it was a man place object they said yes and therefore it could be moved.

 

Just really smarts on jordans part! Sucks for Kuch I definitely agree there but what can you do sometimes that's the game.
