TheWahoo
I must admit that I did not attend a lot of concerts. If one did not immediately get some tickets, it was difficult to get good seats. Most of the concerts in Baltimore were held at the Arena, so many times the only tickets available were rather far back on the floor or up in the nose bleeders. But when I met my wife, I started going to live theater instead. We would take the Metroliner to NYC for the weekend to see a show. The hotel concierge never disappointed us and always got us good seats at the popular shows. We also subscribed to be able to get advanced tickets for the road shows playing in Baltimore. We did get our tickets to see "the Phantom of the Opera" in NYC about six months in advance. We made it our goal to see a production of every Andrew Lloyd Webber show. I think I can say mission accomplished.

I had a business friend on LI who had an in and we scored front row for a matinee. My kids still remember it and that's 33 or so years ago.Phantom we saw when it went on the road @ Oakdale in Wallingford CT. ALW had a great run with great shows. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy @ deejad sorry I missed that - they are a Bay Area Classic!!! They belong to you guys. So Johnny Winter and Paul are not related. Paul is a great hippy. He was one of my recommendations for Northwestern which somehow admitted me. He was a grad - he was in the first jazz ensemble ever to play at the White House. Paul was a cofounder of the Windamhill artists. New age stuff. He's so avant- grade. RoverRick
I have never been much of a concert goer except for going to the symphony. I lived in Dallas from 91-97 and was a season ticket holder. I went at least 12 times a year. I also went to New York and saw a few Broadway shows, and "Off Broadway" also. My favorite was Les Miserables which I saw twice in New York, and my wife took me to the traveling version this year for my birthday. Also went to Las Vegas to see Celine Deon. (My wife traveled with her some in Africa and wrote for some French publication 10 years ago. I saw George Strait when he was part of The Ace In A Hole Band. He had just released a new song, Amarillo By Morning. I liked that song and it worked out OK for him. And also The Beach Boys.
