It is hot and humid here too but I used mine today with the old Burton mini staff bag out on the range. I did strap my soft side cooler on it with my ice packs. Got on the range and put my new giant umbrella in the stand. I wanted to work on my wedges some. I have been practicing my long and approach game a lot and my wedge game has suffered. But due to the use of the Motorcaddy I can keep my stuff in my larger bag. I was able to hit about 125 balls today in the heat with mostly my wedges. i had my phone out there too playing music no one else was there. I will probably try to walk my local course which is flat. Definitely will wait for cooler weather to walk my actual home course which is much hillier. I had a giant one I won at a event 2 months ago. It was still in the plastic in the back of my car. Really it was too big for the Jones bag but I went back to the Burton Staff so it fits fine. Worked really well on the Motocaddy spread out the shade so to speak. That is one big umbrella. One of my fellow members pulled up on the range and asked if I was holding a funeral or selling hot dogs? We have a 9 and Dine scheduled today if the rain does not get us. But I will practice this morning the event is at 2:30. Got sorta a mixed bag in the Motocaddy bag for this AM. The reflective top repels the harmful rays and you can actually feel the cooler sensation like when you walk out of the hot sun into a shady area. It's a solid option for those who have MotoCaddys are similar electric trolleys/carts. It would be cumbersome to push a cart and hold one of these umbrellas however it is doable. I would like to see the umbrella holder larger as the handle is thick. It fits however it is a squeeze to say the least. golfish!
So quick update on the battery life during storage. I had the cart stored in my truck in SoCal heat for the last few weeks as I have been travelling for work and unable to play much. The rounds I did play I rode in a cart as I am playing in a friendly tournament tomorrow and will be riding so wanted to get that rhythm back. So few weeks of storage at full battery in the heat. Somehow managed to flip it over going across the cart path when I wasn't paying attention and the handle dragged across. I think I'm going to install some sort of anti tip wheel myself to prevent this from happening again. I may have seen a flip or two myself..... Luckily it was on the fairway so it didn't scrape up the handle like that! cksurfdude, Rickp, BIG STU and 2 others 1 4 Quote Driver : SIM2 Max 9* MC Kuro Kago Silver 60 Stiff Woods : GS53 3 Wood 14* Mitsubish Tensei Blue 73g Regular Hybrids: 949X Project X HZRDUS RDX Black Irons : 699 Pro Black 5-AW 1* flat KBS Tour V 90 Stiff Shafts Wedges : 52, 56, 60 Putter : Spider Red Bag : lightweight cart bag | Dry Series Bag Ball : TP5 PIX (2019) | ProV1x (2021) Rangefinder : ULT-X Pushcart : M5 GPS DHC Electric Push Cart SoCal, USA Right handed HDCP 16.
ole gray
Mid to upper 90 temps and I'm still chugging along with my MotoCaddy however an umbrella is a must. MotoCaddy might want to add an umbrella with their name on it as an accessory. cksurfdude, golfish! and Rickp 2 1 Quote Ping G430 Max Driver 10.5 Degree Titleist TSR1 4, 5, & 6 Hybrids Titleist T350 Irons 7 - W48 Cleveland CBX ZipCore 52 56 & 60 Degree Wedges LAB Mezz Max Broomstick Putter / TPT Shaft (Platinum @ 45/78)
