chisag
... Having played the TP5x Pix balls for quite awhile now I have grown fond of recognizing my ball in the fairway easily. I want to try the 2021 Maxfli Tour and do not like alignment lines so came up with my own Pix design to hide the alignment lines. Tried it on the Kirkland and looks decent but it will depend on how the permanent magic marker holds up while playing. If it works, I'll pick up 2 dozen Maxfli Tour balls and turn them into Chix Balls: Tom the Golf Nut, downlowkey, tony@CIC and 6 others 8 1 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Yep they were the old small size UK ball and yes I played them some gambling but mostly collected them because I always thought they were cool. Still have quite a few put up in boxes--- My standard marking is 6 dots around the number on each side just like my old man did it. BTW I have a bud of mine one of the original members of our shootout team that swears by Kirkland balls. He has a plethra of Srixon balls that he has won over the last 2 years but insists on buying new Kirkland balls because as he says it fits his game. Me I got 3 of the first gen Kirklands from a bud in Florida because we could not get them in SC. I really liked them but drifted to others mainly Vice and Snell. The new generation Kirklands I have not hit or played enough to form an opinion. May be a while because I have so many free Srixons I have won and found a Dozen Vice Pros brand new in the trunk of my car I had forgotten about. LOL of course knowing my bud I look to be finding some Kirklands soon on the course. chisag 1 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- 5W TM V-Steel Fubuki 60r--- 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R----- 9 W TM V Steel TM MAS stiff---- Irons 2015 TM TP CB Steel Fiber 95 R--- GW Callaway Mack Daddy 2 52* shaft unknown junk pile refugee. I think the new Kirkland is a great ball if you need more spin like some seniors or women, but most players that produce enough spin will probably find them shorter than what they play. I did a practice round comparing them to TP5x and they were a good 10 yds shorter off the tee and close to that with irons and pretty much unplayable in Chicago's winds. Berg Ryman
Chisag, something to consider. You can also get fine or medium tipped paint markers from craft stores like Michaels. ItalGolfer
Agree sharpies can wear off, especially in wetter conditions but a touch up is easy. chisag
... Magic Marker worked OK but as warned, some of the red got pretty faint through 18 holes. Gonna get some paint pens (thanks again Berg) but I have tweaked my design. Looks a littler ragged up close, but down on the ground it looks great and should not lose red as quickly as a big dot from my original design. Larryw
Like your new design a lot better - looks neat. I am one of those that like several markings on the ball. I use an ink stamp that I get at stampyourballs.com - it probably costs a little more but each stamp will do dozens of balls and it last really well as you play. They have many designs that are really neat in several colors. I am not as creative in design as you so I needed the help. chisag and tony@CIC 2 Quote Tour Edge C721 Driver, Integra 45g L flex shaft BombTech 2 HW 16* BombTech 5 W Maltby KE4-Max 5 - PW, Recoil Dart 65 A flex shaft Maltby TSW-DRM 50*/54* wedges, Recoil Dart 75 R flex/spinner shaft Bettinardi Studio Stock #5 putter

Yep I can relate to the winds in the Windy City and Coastal SC can be bad--- Our course is basically wide open and has a lot of exposed greens and is only maybe a mile off the ocean as the crow flies. chisag
... Final Version! After experimenting more I have settled on the 2nd from the left which is also most similar to the TM Pix.
