Driver Grip

So as many know, I had a couple fittings the past year+ which resulted in new irons, shafts, and grips. It was during a Srixon Demo in Indio, CA that the fitter suggested I consider midsize grips as he noticed that my hand/fingers had too much overlap in his opinion. He had me try a midsize and it really felt great.  I ended up choosing Golf Pride Align midsize for the iron set and I do like them.

Not knowing whether I wanted to have these on my driver and fw's, I bought some Dallas Golf (what I thought were GP midsize grips) and installed them with one layer of tape. Come to find out they are a grip made by Karma for Dallas Golf. They feel pretty good but definitely not as large an OD as the Aligns. Not sure if it was the colder weather yesterday (or perhaps time for a new glove), but the driver grip just seemed a bit small.

So my question to the forum is how many of you play the same grips on your clubs?  Is there a generally accepted recipe for grip sizing on driver and fw's?   I recall many years ago that many were using "jumbo" grips on drivers; was that just a fad?  Thanks!

I use the same grips on driver through wedges, Midsized Golf Pride MCC+4, although I do currently have a midsize Super Stroke on my 3 wood. Kind of digging that Super Stroke btw. Anyways, for me, I like having the same feel between my hands and my clubs.

I play  different grips.  I have seen some people that prefer different grips depending on the type of club so I don't think there is a generally accepted approach but most would probably say same grip throughout.

I'm all the same grip, unless I get a new club.  Then I will just use the grip it came with for a little bit until it gets slick and replace with my normal grip.

Do you happen to install grips with air?  If so just blow it off and add a layer of two of blue painters tape and try it again.  Rinse and repeat until comfortable.

I have different grip sizes for no other reason than curiosity. My irons A-4 iron are midsize and loving them.

My 2 callaway Mac daddy wedges are standard. I’m looking at making those midsize as well.

my driver is also standard but I need to make that mid size. I had a driver shaft that was mid size and I loved it. A tragic accident happened and the shaft broke when my bag fell over while recuperating from shoulder surgery.

long story, eventually all my clubs will be midsize with one wrap.
