Protective Carrying Case for GC3/BLP

Been looking a good protective case for the GC3/Bushnell Launch Pro.  I am also a musician and I use this company to protect all my brass instruments on the road. Works REALLY well! Foam insert that you can customize. Side pocket for alignment stick, usb, etc.. Comes with shoulder strap, I elected for an optional backpack strap.

im always perplexed by how much these cost.  I mean it’s like half a car payment.  Does one get it insured also?  Is it a write off?
