Jayeneigtch
Looking forward to it! I was a TP5x loyalist for a while, but I just switched to Provs because the performance was similar but the durability was so much better on Provs. Hoping this is something they improve with the refresh. BeansGuy
I hope they fix that weird knuckle ball flight it gets at the end of the flight. DPattGolf
I have had the new TP5x for almost a month now. Its pretty money. Cover seems to be a bit more durable and not quite as much spin into greens which is nice Josh Parker and GaDawg 2 Quote * Staff Professional* Driver: Stealth Plus+ (7.25*) - Fujikura Ventus Black 6X Tipped 1" 3 Wood: Stealth Plus+ (14.25*) - Fujikura Ventus Blue 7x Tipped 1" Driving Iron: P790 UDI 2 iron - HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 100 6.5 4 Iron: P790 - KBS C-Taper 130 X Irons (5-7) P7MC - KBS C-Taper 130 X Irons (8-P) P7MB - KBS C-Taper 130 X Wedges: MG3 Black 50.09 / 55.11 - KBS TOUR FLT 130 X 60* Wedge: High Toe Raw - KBS Tour 130 X Putter: Custom Black ER2 or Custom Black Del Monte Bag: FlexTech Stand Bag Glove: Tour Preferred Glove Ball: TP5X #11 RangeFinder: R1 Smart Rangefinder Instagram: @dpattgolf

pantleggs
Received two sleeves of the 2024 TP5 prototypes today for testing. As for addressing durability issues, TM states: “New urethane colorations have been created to align with paint shades for added durability in both white and yellow golf balls.” Take that how you will. pantleggs
Finally tested the 2024 TP5 prototypes I received. Thoughts: Balls felt very firm, resulting in hot mid iron shots and shorter drives with a lower launch angle than my typical flight with a ProV1. Both points were noticed by my regular playing partner. Ball was workable with good spin around greens. Putted true with solid roll and controllable speed and distance. Used the same ball the entire round speaking to increased durability. Minimal wedge scuffing but to be expected after 18 holes Overall a solid ball I likely would not choose to play given its unpredictability for long game shots. brogies 1 Quote Driver - Titleist TSR2 10° 3W - TaylorMade SIM2 15° 5W - Titleist TSR2 18° Irons - 6-9 Mizuno JPX923 Hot Metal Pro Wedges - Vokey SM9 48°, 52°, 56°, 60°, WedgeWorks 64° Putter - Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2.5 Ball - Titleist ProV1

What did you notice was different between them? Were both lower-flying than ProV1, but about the same as each other? It sounds like there was pretty low long-game spin if you had shorter drives with lower launch and long irons were "unpredictable." Curious to hear more about them! Bangsuk
I received TP5x/5x PIX Protos in October through Team Taylormade Research Panelist. initial impressions with full round in November. Cover durability is significantly better than 2021s and do not scuff as much as prior generation models. It seems TM improved the cover durability for newer models. Driver: Slightly firmer than prior model, spin seems to be similar. Iron Spin: mid irons are pretty consistent in distance and spin. Firm feel off longer irons (4-5 irons). Wedges: spins lower on 40-60 yard pitch shots. Again, the ball does not scuff as much. Putter: feels better off the putter than prior model. Overall, better than 2021 models.
